  • Review Summary

I’m really excited to give you a Vivo V50e review after using it for ten-plus days. This phone has a beautiful luxury design, is ultra slim, has a quad display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and has a dual rear camera setup. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset and comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings. This phone also has a big battery of 5600mAh.

This newly launched Vivo V5e phone comes with amazing specifications, and I have been continuously testing it for the last 10 days. After testing, I will tell you how the performance, camera, battery, and other aspects of this phone turn out. Also, I used its camera in different environments. Does it live up to its commitment or not?

    Vivo V50e Design And Build

The body dimension of Vivo V50e is 163.3 x 76.7 x 7.4 mm, and the weight is 186 grams. If I talk about the first impression, this phone has a fabulous design. Along with this, the design on the back of Sapphire Blue, which I have. The texture of the back will be different for everyone.

The build quality of this phone is quite solid because it has Diamond Shield Protection Glass. The design of this phone feels quite luxurious and premium. Its other colour variant is white, which looks absolutely amazing.

The back panel of this phone comes in a plastic build and a glossy finish. Even though it is in a shiny finish, there are no marks on its back panel because the pattern of its back panel is quite unique. Even after having fingerprint marks, the marks are not visible. This phone comes with an IP68 and IP69 rating, so if by chance the phone falls into water from your hand or you get wet in the rain, then nothing will happen to this phone.

Vivo V50e has a quad-curve display, making it very easy to hold and preventing it from suddenly slipping from your hand. One good thing about the design is that this phone is ultra-slim. Even though it has two 5600mAh batteries, the phone still feels very thin.

This phone’s camera module has a capsule design like the Vivo V50, and along with it, Aura Light is available, which looks very appealing. The power and volume buttons are on the phone’s right side.

At the bottom, we get the SIM tray, which can hold dual SIMS. Here is the Type C charging port, along with a microphone and speaker grill. The left side of this phone is completely plain, and on the top side, we get a secondary microphone and secondary speakers. But this phone does not have an IR blaster.

    Vivo V50e Camera

Vivo’s V series is a camera-centric series, and Vivo V50e is famous for its camera performance. I did not find any compromise in terms of camera quality. Similarly, the camera quality of the Vivo V50 is also excellent, but there is a vast difference in the price of both. That is why we see a lot of differences in camera performance and specifications.

Vivo V50e does not support any type of Zeiss lens, but it has three different bokeh effects that can be used to capture such photos. It has a dual camera setup: the primary camera sensor is 50 MP, and the other is an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens.

First, you can look at the daylight photo, and the quality of its images is excellent in daylight. I have also taken some portrait photos at different focal lengths. The price of this phone is much less than that of the Vivo V50, even though it can capture exquisite details in photos, and its edge detection is quite accurate.

We captured a lot of photos in all the modes of this phone, so that you can guess how the quality of its photos comes out. This phone has a preset option. Inside this, too, you will find many premade presets, like a wedding preset. You will find the same presets in the Vivo V50, Vivo X90, Vivo X100, and Vivo X200 series.

The Vivo V50e camera will also include an aura light feature. Last year, the Aura light was very small in the Vivo V4e, but this time, its size has increased a lot. This aura light adds extra smoothness to your photos and is more advanced than a normal flashlight. You can make it warm or cool, and even reduce or increase its intensity.

You will get a 50mp front camera, which is quite good. I clicked some selfies in portrait mode and normal mode as well. The result was quite good, and my skin tone was also proper.

If I talk about video quality, then you can shoot videos at 4K 30fps from the front and back camera, and you will get 60fps support at 1080p. In videography, we also tried the stabilisation mode of this phone, and personally, I found the stabilisation of this phone quite good, according to the price.

So the Vivo V50e camera review is top-notch. I also compared it with Realme P3 Ultra, and P3 Ultra has so much saturation, but V50e’s image is closer to reality without extra saturation. Interestingly, both phone prices are close to the same.

    Vivo V50e Battery And Charging

Vivo V50e has a 5,600mAh battery, which offers long-lasting battery life on a single charge. It can easily last over a day, even when used frequently. But if you are using it continuously, then it will offer seven to eight hours of screen-on time.

This phone has a 90w fast charger. So, I tested its exact charging timing and got 0 to 100 per cent in 55 minutes. There is no wireless charging support. So, overall, the Vivo V50e battery review is decent, not impressive and not bad.

    Vivo V50e Display

Vivo V50e comes with a very impressive 6.77-inch 1.5K curved display with a resolution of 1080 x 2392 pixels. The brand also tried to keep the bezels very low in this phone. If you watch the video, the colours are quite decent, so your multimedia experience will be at the next level.

Even the 4K HDR video quality of this phone on YouTube is exceptional because there are many such phones in this range that do not offer all this. So, we can all consume HDR content from Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, etc.

Along with all this, the phone’s peak brightness is 1800 nits. For the daylight visibility test, I used it in the sun, and the screen looked clear. Now, if I talk about the refresh rate, it has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, but it works only in the UI. If you use any third-party app, then it automatically switches to 90 Hz there. Also, its refresh rate is not properly optimised.

The sound of this phone was loud and crisp. Even after the loudness, you can hear the vocals clearly. Yes, one thing is that when you listen to songs at 80 per cent, you will get an excellent sound. But if you go to 90 or 100 per cent, then you may have to compromise a little bit in the sound quality. So, overall, the Vivo V50e display review is exceptional for me.

    Vivo V50e Performance

Performance is a preeminent part of the Vivo V50e. It has Mediatek Dimensity 7300 (4 nm), which performs well. This phone has UFS storage 2.0 and LPDDR5 RAM. I think it would have been better if it were UFS 3.1 or UFS 4.0.

    Vivo V50e benchmark results

I did several Benchmark tests on the Vivo V5e to check its accurate performance in different aspects. Its Geekbench scores are 1034 in single-core and 2905 in multi-core. In CPU thermal throttling detected 95 per cnet of its max performance. Moreover, its Antutu score is 6,86,244. In the 3D Mark Wildlife Extreme Stress Test for stability, its overall score is 99.6 per cent.

After seeing all these scores, you must have understood that this is not a performance-centric phone. If you do everyday tasks on it, you will not face any problems. I even tried gaming on it and did not face any issues. You can play BGMI on this phone with very smooth extreme settings.

The good thing was that the phone got hot while playing the game. But if your purpose is only gaming, then you will get many better options in this price range, so you can consider them.

    Vivo V50e Software and UI

Vivo V50e has Android 15, which is based on Funtouch OS 15. Given the price, the brand promised three years plus of major updates, which I found quite reasonable.

The good thing about this phone is that there is very little bloatware. The number of bloatware apps used to be a bit higher in their older smartphones. Right now, I am using Vivo T4 for review, where there is a lot of bloatware. User experience used to get spoiled due to bloatware, but it is not there in this, so your user experience will be safe.

This phone’s animations are very smooth. When you open or close the apps or scroll through the apps, you will feel differently about how soft this phone is. AI features have been integrated into almost all phones; this phone also has them. You have all the features like Circle to Search, AI to edit photos, AI Expander, and AI Eraser 2.0.

    Verdict

I found the overall performance of the Vivo V50e quite balanced in my review. This phone will be perfect for those who want a phone with a luxurious design, big battery and especially camera performance can go with this phone.
Yes. This phone is not performance-centric and is not made for gamers. So, if you are looking for a gaming phone, other options are available in the market. There is also a concern about only UFS 2.0 storage, but it is ok for daily tasks.

In the end, there are options available in the market at similar prices, like the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, Honor 200, Realme 14 Pro+, OnePlus Nord 4, Vivo T3 Ultra, etc. These phones are also camera-centric. So, you can compare all these phone specs with the Vivo V50e to make a better decision about purchase. Thanks for reading my Vivo V50e review. Comment your thoughts on this phone below.
