Priced at just 11,190 INR, the smartphone is a coup as its price, yet Xiaomi could have done better with certain aspects of the smartphone.

The display screen of the smartphone is protected with a 2.5D curved glass screen. The smartphone measures in at 147.76×71.89 and has a thickness of only 7.8 mm. 

The Xiaomi Mi Play comes with a drip notch, a pleasing finish, a sturdy body, and above all, a colored appearance! The device also has support for dual Nano card SIMs. Overall, Xiaomi could have possibly done better with its aesthetics, yet the smartphone ticks all the right boxes.

All in all, the smartphone’s performance is decent, and Xiaomi could have done better.

Xiaomi could have certainly done better with the Mi Play’s camera system.

While performing taxing activities drain the battery, as would be the case with a battery of any size, non-intensive events see the smartphone’s battery life last impressively.

If used moderately, the smartphone’s battery can last up to two days. The smartphone also comes with an impressive fast charging option, which is impressive, as several high-end smartphones do not provide for a fast charging option. Overall, considering its size and price, the Xiaomi Mi Play has a decent battery.

Priced at just 11,190 INR, the Xiaomi Mi Play is a budget smartphone with only above average features. The smartphone comes with an entry-level MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, a good design, an impressive display, an ordinary battery, and a decent camera. While Xiaomi could have done so much better on several levels, the smartphone has suitable features considering its price.

The smartphone is perfect for those seeking a sturdy and reliable smartphone for a cut-throat price. If you have a higher budget, though, the Xiaomi Mi 9 is a fantastic option.
