There are also three other variants available which are 2GB+32GB storage for Rs. 12,799,  2GB+64GB storage for Rs. 28,999 and 2GB+128GB storage for Rs. 55,999.

The iPhone 6S looks almost similar to the iPhone 6, but there are slight differences – it has added a bit of thickness to the frame, and it is a bit heavier. The metallic chassis fits well in hand and is quite ergonomic despite the added weight. One of the significant points of the iPhone 6S is that it is built with the Aluminium 7000 series making it a durable model which, according to Apple, will keep the phone dent-free even after several falls. Plus, it does not lose out on the ceramic feel that the phone offers. The screen is stronger as well since it is fitted with a glass that is much less prone to scratches.

It comes with a 326 pixels per inch display, which is lower than the 401ppi of iPhone 6S Plus, and the 500ppi of other flagships. However, due to the lower pixels, the battery consumption of the phone is lesser which makes it power efficient. However, the display is not the selling point of the Apple 6S.

The Live Photo takes a 1.5-second picture before and after the snap, creating a chain of memories to preserve. Add 3D touch, and you get an immersive ‘looking back’ at the memories while browsing through the gallery. Also, it includes sound.

This feature, while significant, may seem a bit gimmicky for professional photographers looking to click still photographs. All the pictures you click will be Live Photo by default. You can turn it off manually. A live photo takes the space of two images, which is an ill fit for the low storage capacity that the iPhone 6S has.

However, an advanced CPU is not coupled with the expected battery life. In the current market, the 1715 mAh battery is less compared to the 2550 mAh of S6. Playing a FullHD video at full brightness for 90 minutes resulted in a drop-down to 70% power from full. It struggles to last a whole day, making it to about  6 hours and 46 minutes after continuous web-surfing. The Low Power mode of iOS 9 can keep the juice for an extra hour.

The Apple iPhone 6S comes as a surprise and a pleasure. It has poor battery life, and the Live Photo feature might not be appreciated by still photographers.
