Except for the 8GB + 256GB option, which is not available in India, the Indian version of the smartphone is identical to the Chinese version. So, let’s get started with the IQOO Z5 5G to know what it has got for the users.
IQOO Z5 5G price in India
For the 8GB+128GB model, the starting price of the iQoo Z5 is 23,990 rupees. Those interested in the higher-end 12GB+256GB configuration will have to pay a total of 26990 rupees. iQOO Z5 Design
The iQOO Z5 has a redesigned camera arrangement on the rear and a hole punch cut-out on the front, compared to the iQOO Z3. The phone’s body is still composed of plastic, which seems reasonable given the price. It will be available in two hues, including Mystic Space and Arctic Dawn. It has a fingerprint reader placed on the side and face recognition for biometric identification.
iQOO Z5 Display
On the display, you’ll find a 6.67-inch 120Hz LCD with a maximum brightness of 650 nits. When using the phone indoors or outdoors, you’ll be able to see enough of the display to do most things, including gaming and making phone conversations without glare. Widevine L1 support on the device ensures smooth playback of movies and TV shows in Full HD+ on OTT services. The 120Hz refresh rate really puts the icing on the cake.
IQOO Z5 Performance
The IQOO Z5 5G runs Android 11 on Fun Touch OS 12 and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. Snapdragon 778G is a battery efficient CPU, thus the IQOO Z5 5G will last longer. No mention of 5G was made by IQOO, however current reports claim the device has only two 5G bands, which explains why IQOO didn’t discuss it at the launch event. The IQOO Z5 5G has two 5G bands, but that doesn’t guarantee it will be able to use 5G when it releases in India.
Since IQOO has provided LPDDR 5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, nothing will seem sluggish after years of usage. There are two RAM/storage configurations available for the phone, including 8GB/128 GB and 12GB/256 GB respectively. The iQoo Z5 has a liquid-cooling vapour chamber for gaming performance. For CPU-intensive games, iQoo claims to reduce phone surface temperature by 3°C and CPU junction temperature by 12°C.
IQOO Z5 5G Camera
The IQOO Z5 5G features a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens, as well as a 16MP front-facing camera. The back camera can capture videos in up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, while the front camera can capture videos in up to 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second. The phone does not have optical image stabilisation (OIS), instead depends on software-managed image stabilisation (EIS).
While IQOO did an excellent job with the camera, it does not seem to be a 24k smartphone camera. The utilised sensors are adequate, but they need refinement, and if they do it correctly, there will be no reason to complain.
IQOO Z5 5G Battery
The 5,000 mAh battery of the IQOO Z5 5G supports 44W rapid charging. Charging the device from 0% to 50% will take 26 minutes. You should anticipate the battery to survive for a day regardless of how much you use it or how little you use it. The Snapdragon 778G SoC is battery-friendly and will perform optimally.
IQOO Z5 5G Verdict
If you prefer an AMOLED display or even better cameras, don’t purchase the IQOO Z5 5G. You may also avoid the IQOO Z5 5G since it only has two 5G bands. However, you will be more than satisfied with the IQOO Z5 5G if you are looking for a device with a 120Hz refresh rate, long battery life, 44W power supply, stereo speaker, and you do not want to pay more than $24,000.
