Apple is all set to launch its iPhone 13 series on September 14, 2021. We already know that Apple’s next-gen flagship offering and more in its launch lineup during the California Streaming event. Now, leaks are surfacing online on the same suggesting some key information. However, this time around, we expect more updates in the devices than their predecessors. We are also expecting to see the launch of Apple AirPods 3 and Apple Watch Series 7 during the launch event.

AirPods 3 launch might not discontinue the sale of AirPods 2
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the new AirPods 3 will be launching alongside the iPhone 13 series on September 14, 2021. Although there is no confirmation as of yet on the same. Meanwhile, reports suggest that this third-gen AirPods will feature a new design similar to the AirPods Pro but lacking in “Pro” features.

We have two scenarios for AirPods pricing: 1) AirPods 3 price is higher than existing AirPods 2, and AirPods 2 price remains the same. 2) AirPods 3 price is the same as existing AirPods 2 and AirPods 2 price cuts. In scenario one, the market will be neutral on the AirPods announcement. In scenario two, the AirPods announcement will be better than the market expectation for supply chain shipments.

On the other hand, AirPods 3 is rumoured to come with an updated design. Especially one that is more in line with the current AirPods Pro. It is also likely to feature shorter stems. Whereas, there are rumours on whether the new design will include silicone ear tips. Earlier leaks suggesting AirPods will not feature silicone eartips surfaced online. On the other hand, renders of the upcoming AirPods depict them with silicone eartips.

Apple is also planning to announce the iPhone 13 and the Apple Watch Series 7 alongside AirPods 3 during its “California streaming” event on Tuesday. Moreover, Kuo also notes that the iPhone 13 Pro variants will be available with up to 1TB of storage. It would be the largest capacity ever offered for an iPhone.
