Krafton India has officially confirmed the BGMI Air launch date as December 10, 2026. The upcoming mobile game has already crossed 14 million pre-registrations on the Google Play Store, showing strong interest among Indian gamers. Designed as a lighter version of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), the new title aims to bring the battle royale experience to users with budget smartphones and limited storage.
Earlier, Krafton announced the game as BGMI Lite before renaming it BGMI Air last month. The company has also revealed details about its closed beta testing programme, which will give selected players an opportunity to try the game before its official release.
BGMI Air Closed Beta Testing: How To Apply

Krafton will organise a closed beta testing programme from November 20 to November 24 in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata. Selected players will get early access and can share their feedback with the developers.
Interested gamers must submit their applications by November 9 through the form available in the bio section of the official BGMI and BGMI Air Instagram accounts.

BGMI Air Launch Date Confirmed: Features, Download Size And Device Requirements
Krafton has designed BGMI Air to work smoothly on entry-level Android smartphones. Unlike the standard BGMI app, the new game will require less storage and hardware resources.
Here are the confirmed details:
- Initial download size: Around 1GB.
- Minimum RAM: 1.5GB.
- GPU requirement: Adreno 306 or higher.
- Platform: Android.
- Launch date: December 10, 2026.
- Pre-registrations: Over 14 million.
Players will not need to download additional game packages before starting their first match. BGMI Air will also work as a separate application, but users can log in with their existing BGMI accounts without migrating their data.
Another major feature is cross-play support. BGMI Air players can team up with friends using the regular BGMI version and enjoy matches together.
With a smaller download size, lower hardware requirements and cross-play support, BGMI Air aims to make battle royale gaming accessible to more smartphone users in India.
