Carl Pei’s Nothing To Launch Ear 1 TWS In June

OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei’s Nothing today revealed that it is launching its first product as early as June. It is called Ear 1 and is a rival for Apple AirPods, Samsung Galaxy Buds.

Carl Pei and his team, with support from the smartphone company Essential and industrial design firm Teenage Engineering, have been making the Ear 1 earbuds for some time now. It will be a result of the modern concepts that ‘Nothing’ developed since its start in October last year.

“Design is still top secret. But, what we can tell you is that Ear 1 combines notes of transparency, iconic form, and refined functionality. It is the starting point that will define the artistry, confidence and craftsmanship that will carry our products and services for years to come,” writes Pei in the blog post.

Pei also said that the Ear 1 was only the beginning. The Company is planning for launching some other product categories soon. He also said that everything has a purpose. Even if you see it or not, even the name Ear 1. It speaks for itself.

Nothing had also declared its partnership with Stockholm-based Teenage Engineering. The company is identified for its unique audio products. The company has so far raised $22 million from GV (formerly Google Ventures) and other private investors.
