Google Pixel 5a 5G With Snapdragon 765G SoC Launched: Price, Specifications

Google Pixel 5a 5G has launched quietly in the US with 5G support and a big battery. After months of speculation, it is finally official. This new launch comes as a new addition in the mid-range smartphone market. Although if you look at it, the phone comes with the same design as the Pixel 4a 5G from September last year. Moreover, it is just not the design but also most of the specs. Let us look at the phone’s specs and pricing in detail below:

Price, Availability

Google Pixel 5a 5G is only launching in two countries — the U.S. and Japan, unlike its’ predecessor. Moreover, it will not make its way to the country or to other parts of the world.

The phone will be available in the US at a cost of $449 (roughly ₹33,400) for the sole 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model. It is offered in a single colour called Mostly Black. The phone will go on sale starting August 26.

Google Pixel 5a 5G Specifications

The smartphone remains largely identical to the Pixel 4a 5G. You get the same familiar build and design. It runs Android 11 and features a 6.34-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) OLED display. In addition, it comes with a 60Hz refresh rate, a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 413ppi pixel density, and HDR support.

Under the hood, Google Pixel 5a 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G processor. It also comes with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Pixel 5a comes with an IP67 rating, which means it is water and dust-resistant.

In terms of optics, the Google Pixel 5a 5G comes with a dual-camera setup that includes a 12-megapixel dual-pixel sensor, and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. At the front, there’s the same 8-megapixel selfie shooter with an f/2.0 aperture housed in a hole-punch cutout located at the top left corner of the display.

Connectivity options on the Pixel 5a 5G include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyrometer, magnetometer, and barometer. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as well.

Google Pixel 5a 5G packs a 4,680mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The battery is bigger than the Pixel 4a 5G’s 3,885mAh capacity.
