The Google Pixel 8 series will launch on October 4, and almost all details of the phones have leaked ahead of the launch. Now, a leak showcases the unboxing of the Google Pixel 8 and Google Pixel 8 Pro, showcasing the phones in all its glory. Another leak has also revealed the Geekbench scores for the Pixel 8 Pro, giving us an idea about its performance.
Google Pixel 8 Series Unboxing Leak
The unboxing videos of the Google Pixel 8 series have leaked courtesy of the YouTube channel PBKreviews. The video reveals the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro in Hazel and Obsidian colours. Furthermore, the phone box contains the USB-C cable, USB A to C adapter, startup guide and the phone. There is no charger in the box, similar to previous Pixel phones.

The video showcases the phones from all sides, with the Pixel 8 having a dual camera setup and the Pro model sporting a triple camera visor on the back. There is a punch-hole display on the front and an in-display fingerprint sensor similar to their predecessors.

Both phones will launch on October 4 at the “Made by Google” event alongside the Google Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Buds Pro 2. They will be available for pre-order on Flipkart starting October 5.
Google Pixel 8 Pro Geekbench Score Leaked
According to a post by tipster Revgnus on X (formerly Twitter), the Geekbench score for the Pixel 8 Pro has leaked. The phone scores 1760 in the single-core test and 4442 in the multi-score test. This significantly improved from last year’s Google Pixel 7 Pro, which scored 1,444 and 3,793 in the same test. However, this score is less than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which scores 2,011 and 5,305 in the single-core and multi-core.
Google Pixel 8 Specifications
The Pixel 8 will sport a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2000 nits. Furthermore, it will have Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for protection and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone will have 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

It will have a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens with OIS support. Furthermore, there is a 10.5-megapixel camera on the front for taking selfies. The Pixel 8 will pack a 4,575mAh battery with support for 27W fast charging and 18W Qi-Wireless charging. It will be available in Obsidian, Hazel and Rose colours for $699 (around Rs.58,000).
Google Pixel 8 Pro Specifications
On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ LTPO panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a peak brightness of 2,400 nits and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection. The phone will have up to 1TB of storage in the US and 512GB in the rest of the world, paired with 12GB of RAM.

For optics, it has a 50-megapixel primary sensor apart from a 48-megapixel ultrawide lens with OIS support. Furthermore, there is a 48-megapixel telephoto lens with up to 30x Super Res zoom and a 10.5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Pixel 8 Pro will pack a 5,050 mAh battery with 30W fast charging and 23W Qi-Wireless charging. It will be available in Obsidian, Porcelain and Bay colours for $899 (around Rs.75,000).
Both phones will run Android 14 out of the box with seven years of software updates. They will be powered by the Google Tensor G3 chipset paired with the Titan M2 co-processor. Furthermore, both devices will have an IP68 rating and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
