Tipster Ice Universe has revealed the Mi 12 and Samsung Galaxy S22 series launch timeline. Both smartphones will come with Snapdragon 898 SoC. While Xiaomi is expected to launch later this year, Samsung Galaxy S22 will launch in the first week of February next year.
Mi 12 specifications
Although the latest report doesn’t reveal any data on the Mi 12 and Samsung Galaxy S22 series specifications, the previous leaks give an estimate of what is anticipated. The Snapdragon 898 processor is awaited to debut later this year at Qualcomm Summit. Much like last year, Xiaomi will launch its Mi 12 smartphone in December.
Reportedly, Mi 12 will be the first phone to come with Qualcomm’s next-gen flagship chipset with four cluster core layouts. The chipset could have four efficiency cores with two configured at a high-frequency clock and two lower frequencies. The three cores in the middle of the structure would be the performance cores.
Additionally, the handset could support a 4,700mAh battery, while its Ultra variant may offer a 5,000mAh battery. The handset could also come with 100W fast charging support, a punch-hole display with curved edges, and a ceramic back.
Samsung Galaxy S22 series Specifications
Tentatively, Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra will sport 6.06-inch, 6.55-inch, and 6.81-inch screens. The three models will come with an AMOLED panel, 120Hz displays and 25W fast charging capabilities. Also, as rumoured, S22 will consist of Snapdragon 898 chipset in the US and China. In India and other markets, the handsets could rock Exynos 2200 processors.
