    Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition key features revealed

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand is launching its first-ever gaming phone next week. They are venturing into this field to make it affordable for gamers. Today, the brand has shared the name of the device and its launch date. Redmi announced that its upcoming smartphone that is for gaming will be called the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition. Moreover, it will launch on April 27 at 7:30 pm CST (6 pm IST) in China, the company revealed through a post on Weibo.

The upcoming smartphone will join the Redmi K40 series that debuted in China in February. Furthermore, Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition seems to carry the same front panel design as the other Redmi K40 series phones. It will also have slim bezels all around and a centrally located hole-punch cutout. Along with the release date, Xiaomi also shared some of the details about the phone.

According to the company, it will have buttons on the right-hand side of the device which will act as gaming triggers, just like that on the Black Shark 4. However, they are yet to confirm whether they are touch-sensitive or physical ones. In addition, they also claim it will be a “hardcore gaming phone” with a “thin and beautiful” design.

In the images shared, RedmiK40 Game Enhanced Edition has a display with a punch-hole mounted in the top-center portion of the screen. The rear side of the device seems to have a triple-camera setup with a laser-autofocus system. Unfortunately, the brand has not revealed any other features of the device yet.

According to the leaks, the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition will have an E4 AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The device is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. Rumors also suggest that the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition will have a 64MP primary camera at the rear.
