While Apple has denied any misconduct, the company opted to settle the case rather than face a trial. According to The Verge, Apple emphasizes that Siri was designed with user privacy as a priority and insists it never used the voice recordings for advertising purposes or sold the data to third parties.

    How To Make Your Claim?

Under the Apple Siri lawsuit claim settlement, eligible U.S. users can submit claims to receive a share of the compensation, which can be as much as $100 (approximately Rs 8,500) per person. The payout depends on the number of Apple devices owned and the total valid claims filed.

To be eligible, individuals must have used Siri on any Apple device between September 17, 2014, and December 31, 2024. This includes devices like iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, Apple Watches, HomePods, iPod Touch, and Apple TV. Eligible users should have received an email notice titled “Lopez Voice Assistant Class Action Settlement.” However, even if you haven’t received this email, you can still file a claim from Apple under the Siri lawsuit by visiting the official settlement site and completing the required form.
