Vivo has teased about the Vivo X Fold Plus 5G launch. The brand-new Vivo foldable smartphone will soon be available in China. The exact timing of the X Fold Plus 5G’s debut is still pending. Jia Jingdong, vice president of Vivo, shared some crucial information on the upcoming foldable in the meantime (via).
The X Fold Plus 5G will be the brand’s second folding phone. In comparison to the Vivo X Fold 5G, which was introduced earlier this year, it will feature a few minor upgrades. It’s predicted that the company will also introduce the X Fold+ 5G in foreign countries.
Specifications of Vivo X Fold Plus 5G
The company’s newest premium foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold Plus 5G, will compete with devices like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 5G. The phone should be on sale soon. The business said that the X Fold Plus 5G would have a redesigned hinge mechanism before the launch. The X Fold Plus 5G can be folded and placed at various angles, including 30 degrees, 90 degrees, and 120 degrees, thanks to the redesigned hinge.
Jingdong also disclosed that the 120Hz folding display for the X Fold+ 5G will be included. 19 Display A+ awards for the display have been awarded. In addition, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner will be included on both the foldable screen and the cover display. Although Jingdong did not specify the size of the display, it is expected to have a 6.53-inch cover display and an 8.03-inch folding display.
The latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC will be used in the foldable phone. A larger 4,730 mAh battery and 80W rapid charging are both included. Also supported by the phone is 50W wireless charging.
Jingdong also said that the phone boasts T-coated Zeiss-tuned cameras. A 50-megapixel primary camera, a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 12-megapixel portrait camera sensor, and an 8-megapixel periscope camera are rumoured to be included. The debut of the foldable gadget in a new Red colour option is also announced.
