WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature for its user which can make easier to join a group call even if you miss it. The love for group calls has increased in current turbulent times of staying apart. Social media apps have started rolling out new features in this aspect for their users. However, WhatsApp is looking to push its own boundaries by bringing another new feature into the picture.

Joinable Calls will allow you to join an ongoing call if you failed to receive it initially. Using this feature, you can call up to 8 members at a time and see all the members on the screen. Moreover, WhatsApp also redesigned the call screen to show the list of participants in the ongoing call along with more features.

To recall, previously once you left the group call – you had to be added again in the call. Even more so, if you missed the group call initially. With the new feature, it will let users get back to a group called as long as it’s still on. WhatsApp will display the ongoing group calls on top of the calls tab. It will also indicate if it’s a video or voice call.

Users will simply have to join in again. In addition, they can easily drop off and rejoin the call as well. Joinable calls reduce the burden of answering a group call as it starts. In addition, it brings the spontaneity and ease of in-person conversations to a group calling on WhatsApp. If you hit ‘ignore’ you can join later from the calls tab in WhatsApp.

How to use it? One can simply go into their Call log on WhatsApp, then tap the call they’d like to join. This will open the call info screen. From there, users can tap “Join” to enter the missed group call. This will, of course, work on group calls that are already ongoing.
