  • In late May, Mark Gurman revealed that Apple will be shifting its operating system naming strategy. Rather than continuing with iOS 19, the tech giant may introduce iOS 26, along with macOS 26, iPadOS 26, and others. This change aims to align with the calendar year, reduce confusion, and streamline marketing efforts. Similarly, Xiaomi will also rename its HyperOS 3 on the same lines as Apple. So, read ahead for more on this.

Reports indicate that Xiaomi has rolled out the beta version of its update based on HyperOS 3 (Android 16) for select devices. This update brings new features such as “Live Updates,” dynamic icons, and improved battery optimization. Devices like the Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi Redmi Note 13, and Xiaomi Redmi K60 are expected to receive the update between July and October 2025.

The full system release is anticipated for October or November, and as the launch date approaches, more details will likely become clearer.
