After launching the Oppo Reno 7 Series in the Chinese smartphone market, Oppo has finally launched the series in the Indian smartphone market today. The series comprises two devices and the device with the higher price tag is the Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G that comes with 12GB RAM, 65W rapid charging and multiple other features.   Let’s take a look at the Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G specifications to know what it has got for Indian users.

Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G price in India

The only 12GB + 256GB variant of the Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G costs Rs. 39,999. From February 8th, the phone will be available for purchase. Starlight Black and Startrails Blue are the two colour options for the Reno 7 Pro 5G.

Customers with ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Standard Chartered, IDFC First Bank, Bank of Baroda, and Federal Bank cards may get up to 10% cashback on the Oppo Reno 7 5G. Additionally, EMI rebates and no-cost EMIs will be available.

    OPPO Reno7 Pro 5G Design

In terms of the design, the Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G looks similar to the Oppo Reno 6 line-up with a flat back and sides. This time Oppo has used 3 generation crystal diamond technology to design the Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G. Oppo has incorporated 1.2 million fine rating lines on the rear of the Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G with the help of laser development technology, imparting a 3D touch to the Glass back. Step-design has been followed in the camera module and this time Oppo has added a notification around the camera module by using optical fibre bending process, which is amazing.

The frame is made of aerospace aluminium and there won’t be fingerprint smudges on it. With a thickness of about 7.45mm, the Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G is the thinnest smartphone from the Chinese smartphone company.

Coming to the ports and buttons, there is a speaker grille along with the Type-c charging port and the SIM tray on the bottom. The frame of the Oppo Reno 7 5G is made of aerospace metal. The left side features the volume rocker, while the right side comes with the power button.

    OPPO Reno7 Pro 5G Display

Speaking of the display in the Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G, there is a 6.55-inch punch-hole screen. This time the bezels are almost negligible around the screen and the screen to body ratio is 92.8%, which means a great multimedia experience. The AMOLED display features FHD+ resolution and the Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G display features 100% DCI P3 colour gamut. You’ll get a refresh rate of 90Hz, although we were expecting a 120Hz refresh rate in the pro version. The maximum level of brightness goes up to 920nits. Overall the display quality is superb.

    OPPO Reno7 Pro 5G Performance

In the Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G, speaking of the performance, there is the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 Max processor with a maximum speed of 3GHz and based on 6nm architecture. The chipset is capable of handling graphics-heavy games with ease. The Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G features 12GB LPDDR4X RAM along with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. For controlling the heat, there is a 3D Cooling system, covering a large area for heat dissipation. The Oppo Reno 7 5G runs on ColorOS 12 based on Android 11. Connectivity features include dual 5G and Wifi 6.

    OPPO Reno7 Pro 5G Camera

When it comes to the camera, this time more attention has been given to the selfie camera. There is a 32MP RGBW IMX709 sensor, which performs well even in low lighting conditions. There is a CAT eye lens as well with this sensor which adds more to the overall performance. Oppo Reno 7 Pro is the first smartphone to use an IMX709 sensor and you will get a super dynamic range even in the night photos.

Coming to the rear camera, there is a triple camera setup on the back of the device with a 50MP SONY IMX766 main sensor, which we all know is usually present in flagship phones. The main sensor is followed by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro sensor. You can expect a superb daylight performance. Also, there will be less noise in the night photography. You can also record 4K video at 60fps with the rear camera.

    OPPO Reno7 Pro 5G Battery

Again, like the Oppo Reno 7, the Oppo Reno 7 Pro has got the same 4500 mAh battery, which is capable of providing a full day backup on average usage. However, the fast charging capacity is more here, rising from 60W to 65W. You’ll be able to refill the battery from 0 to 100% in just 35 minutes.

    OPPO Reno7 Pro 5G Verdict

The OPPO Reno7 Pro combines a durable chipset with a well-designed RAM and CPU arrangement, allowing for impressive multitasking and media output for normal users. Furthermore, the gadget is equipped with a fantastic camera arrangement on both ends, which is supported by a powerful battery and storage system, allowing vloggers to produce footage in a smooth manner.
