Realme X has a great design, and a premium feel to it. The finish of the phone complements the sides and give it an overall balanced look. It is quite thick at 9.3mm but remains comfortable. The heft of 191g also adds to the sturdiness of the phone. The phone has a pop-up camera which, according to the company, can last 200,000 cycles. The material is sapphire glass, which is known for being durable. There is also a motion-triggered safety mechanism which retracts the camera automatically if it detects that the phone is falling. Despite looking like glass, the phone has a polycarbonate layer which prevents it from catching smudges. The volume and power buttons are ergonomically located at either side. However, the phone is quite big and cannot be managed with one hand. The design is also quite similar to OnePlus 7 Pro. In the front, you get the 16MP selfie camera which has pixel binning technology as well. The AI is not too aggressive with beauty modes, and low-light selfies turn out to be decent enough. The edge detection in bokeh shots is proper also.

Realme X can record 4K videos, but it has no stabilisation. However, the footage turns out to be good, and when there is low light, the colours are well-preserved. 1080p video recording is naturally stabilised. You also have slow-motion modes with 960fps mode, though the recording can be choppy.

Realme X arrives with a 3765 mAh battery which was able to last for about 14 hours 28 minutes in a video loop test. Even intensive use of camera saw that the battery was able to hold up for an entire day. With a mix of intensive use and moderate use, the battery will keep chugging for more than a day.
