Samsung has been a giant when it comes to the smartphones, be it the entry-level section or the flagship category. This brand has its reputation throughout the globe. Recently the smartphone brand has unveiled the latest smartphone in Thailand known as Samsung Galaxy A02, belonging to the A-series and intended for catering the affordable section.

Samsung Galaxy A02 belongs to the entry-level section and comes in a single variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Samsung Galaxy A02 expected price in India for this variant is Rs.8,990 and you can buy this device in Denim Black, Denim Red, Denim Blue and Denim Gray colour. For now, the smartphone is available in Thailand for sale and will soon hit the Indian smartphone market. 

The physical dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy A02 measure 164mm in length, 75.9mm in width and 9.1mm in thickness and weigh around 206 grams.  Looking at the front, there is an infinity-V display with a thick chin and minimum noticeable bezels around the edges. The rear panel of the phone supports a textured finish and carries a vertically aligned dual-camera setup at the top left corner including an LED flash.  

Samsung Galaxy A02 features a 6.5-inches HD+ infinity-V display with a resolution of 720 pixels. The display of this smartphone comes with a pixel density of 270PPI and 81.95% screen-to-body ratio. The technology that has been used while manufacturing the display of the Samsung Galaxy A02 is PLS TFT LCD.

As for the chipset, Samsung Galaxy A02 comes powered by the MediaTek MT6739W along with PowerVR GE8100 GPU. The smartphone packs with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB via dedicated microSD card slot. In terms of software, Samsung Galaxy A02 runs on Android 10 with One UI 2.0 skin on top. As for the connectivity, the device supports 4G, Wi-Fi Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Samsung Galaxy A02 features a dual-camera setup on the rear side, featuring a 13MP main camera with an aperture of f/1.9 and a 2MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the smartphone comes with a 5MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0. There is no flash on the front side.

For ensuring a full day battery backup, Samsung Galaxy A02 comes with a 5000 mAh Li-ion battery, which is surely large enough. There is no support for fast charging, so it will take many hours to refill the battery. Furthermore, the USB 2.0 charging port is there to connect the charger with the device.

Samsung Galaxy A02 belongs to the entry-level section and comes with a 5000 mAh battery along with some of the basic features for carrying the daily usage. However, there is nothing more to expect from this device. For starters, this is a decent smartphone, but for those who are curious for more specs, they better go with some other brand.
