Samsung has started this year with some of the latest devices with promising specifications to increase its global reach and compete with other brands who are claiming their share in every section. Recently, we had a new smartphone, Samsung Galaxy F62 in the Indian Smartphone market and the sale is still going, there is yet another device from the brand. Yes, Samsung has come up with another smartphone, Samsung Galaxy A72 belonging to the A-series and meant for a mid-range budget. The all-new Samsung Galaxy features a large 5000 mAh battery and comes with a 90Hz refresh rate display. Let us have a quick look at this device for getting all the other details.

Samsung Galaxy A72 Price in India

Samsung Galaxy A72 specifications are meant for the mid-range section and the device comes in two variants, one with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage and another with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. As for the pricing, Samsung Galaxy A72 price starts from 449 Euros, which translates into Rs.38,800. You can buy Samsung Galaxy A72 in three colour options including Awesome Black, Awesome White, Awesome Violet, and Awesome Blue.

In terms of design, the phone is available in four vibrant colours including Awesome Black, Awesome White, Awesome Violet, and Awesome Blue. Samsung Galaxy A72 has a plastic back and is slightly larger than its predecessor, but not significantly so. The IP67 dust and water resistance is a noteworthy upgrade in Samsung Galaxy A72, which the last year’s Samsung Galaxy A71 sadly missed. This is an important addition, even for mid-range models, because, as we all know, mid-range phones are just as vulnerable to water-spilling-on-phone mishaps as luxury phones.

Despite the fact that the Samsung Galaxy A72’s monitor is the same 6.7-inch AMOLED display as we saw in the Galaxy A71, the Galaxy A72 now has one major upgrade. Yes, this time there is a 90Hz refresh rate display. To ensure smooth scrolling and animations, this feature makes its presence in a budget-friendly Samsung smartphone for the first time.

Samsung Galaxy A72’s screen features a resolution of 1080 pixels along with 394PPI, which is a decent resolution at the given price point. The Super AMOLED display is capable of producing deep blacks and rich, though not oversaturated, colours, and it’s a joy to look at. The screen quality on this phone is outstanding overall, and you can choose between Vivid and Natural colour modes.

The Snapdragon 720G is used in the Galaxy A72, which is a small improvement from the Snapdragon 730 used in the Galaxy A71 last year. Overall, it improves CPU speeds somewhat, but it should be capable of managing daily activities like social media browsing, video streaming, and even gaming with ease. There are two RAM options including 6GB and 8GB and Samsung Galaxy A72 features two internal storage options, one with 128GB and another with 256GB.

Samsung Galaxy A72 runs on Android 11 and has Samsung’s One UI with all of its bells and whistles.

When we talk about the camera, the camera bump design is the first thing that catches our attention. It seems to be well-organized and well-kept, with the camera lenses standing out in a stylish way. Along with a cool new look, there are some major camera upgrades. Like its predecessor, it has a quad-camera configuration with a 64MP main sensor, but this time with OIS. A 12 MP Ultra-wide sensor is attached to the primary sensor along with two additional sensors including a 5MP macro sensor and an 8MP telephoto sensor. Not only this, there is a 32MP selfie camera with HDR support. While we can’t expect Galaxy A72 to provide the same level of picture quality as the Galaxy S21, still the picture quality is admirable.

The Galaxy A72 is equipped with a massive 5,000mAh battery, which Samsung claims will last for two consecutive days. Samsung Galaxy A72 supports 25W rapid charging in addition to its large battery, but there is a 15W adapter provided in the box. We expect Samsung Galaxy A72 to equal, if not better, its predecessor’s ability to hold the lights on for two days of light use on a single charge.

Samsung Galaxy A72 is a power-packed device with multiple interesting features including a huge 5000 mAh battery, excellent 64MP Quad-rear camera and a mesmerizing 32MP selfie camera. Also, the processor is decent enough for providing a great performance along with huge RAM and internal storage. But there is no 5G and also you are getting a 15W charger in the box. It’s better to wait for the 5G variant or go with some other device from another brand at the same price.
