Galaxy Z Flip’s iconic foldable is a thing any gadget would love. The old-school mobile flip is back in the market with this foldable glass technology, but at a hefty price tag. Coming with the latest Snapdragon 855+ paired with 8GB of RAM, it makes a powerful device. It is packed with an average battery life of 3300 mAh and the all-glass body design enables wireless charging option.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip uses the brand new foldable Samsung Ultra-Thin Glass technology for the flip and fold feature. The back panel is all glossy finish which gives it a premium look with a dual-camera setup. You get a smart fingerprint scanner on the right-side button for smooth unlock. There’s a hinge which facilitates flipping action. On the front display, there are visible bezels around the edges, mainly for protection.
Samsung Galaxy Z flip when unfolded has a large 6.7-inch dynamic Infinity Flex AMOLED display, and folds to just fit in a palm at the 1.1-inch external display for basic notifications, with a slight dip passing along the centre of the display. The colours come out to be very clear and bright.
Samsung has given a 7nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ with 8GB RAM in the Galaxy Z Flip which makes it a flagship for the performance. Everything runs smoothly on Samsung’s One UI topped with Android 10.
There’s not much to talk about the camera in Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. There is a dual camera setup at the back, with a 12MP main camera and another 12MP ultra-wide camera with 8X Digital zoom, which takes decent shots in good day-light, but not as good as the Note series.
There is also a 10MP front camera in the punch-hole cutout. The camera app is updated with features like Single Take, Night Hyperlapse and an improved night mode.
The Z Flip has a battery of just 3300 mAh and with that kind of display, it doesn’t last long enough. There is a basic 15W charger packed in the box with a Type-C cable. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging features are supported.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is the king of design with a great line of specs including a beautiful display and snappy processor, but it totally depends on your interest if you really wish to invest that much in a foldable phone.
