TCL 30E Launch in India

TCL has returned with a new lineup of smartphones. For a while, the renowned television maker has been attempting to break into the smartphone market. Each year, it introduces new products in a variety of market segments. Today, the business unveiled the TCL 30 E, a new inexpensive smartphone. Interestingly, the gadget ships with Android 12. TCL 30E is available for EUR 139 (roughly Rs. 11,700). TCL will sell the TCL 30E in two colour options including the Atlantic Blue and Space Grey. TCL 30E Design

As befits an affordable smartphone, the TCL 30E comes with a good plastic casing and a basic, subdued appearance. It’s nothing extraordinary; it’s straightforward yet elegant.

A triple primary camera with a flash is located in the top left corner. The modules are mounted on a tiny matte rough plastic pedestal. A fingerprint scanner is positioned next to the camera unit, a brand logo has been added to the bottom right corner, and a technical marking is added to the left corner, which is barely visible from certain angles.

Around 82.5 per cent of the front panel is devoted to the display. The bezels are fairly substantial, with a colossal chin. The selfie camera is located in a teardrop-shaped notch on the front. The smartphone weighs an average of 190 g and has dimensions of 165.2 75.5 8.9 mm. The TCL 30 SE feels comfortable in the hand and does not slide due to the matte edges. The smartphone and its 6.52-inch screen are too large to operate with one hand comfortably. However, the primary parts, like the fingerprint scanner and control buttons, are conveniently located and simple to operate.

The primary controls and connections are located in their expected locations. To the left of the screen are a memory card slot and a pair of Nano-SIM (slot for three seats), while to the right are volume controls and a power button.

TCL 30E Display

The phone retains the same 6.52-inch HD+ LCD display as the previous model, but without the 2.5D curve. The display covers 70% of the NTSC colour gamut and has a maximum brightness of 450 nits. Regrettably, there is no indication of the refresh rate, leaving us to assume it is a standard 60 Hz refresh rate.

TCL 30E Performance

The same Helio G25 processor with up to 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage is used under the hood. Additionally, a dedicated micro SD card port is included. The phone comes in single- and dual-SIM configurations and supports VoLTE and VoWiFi. Only Wi-Fi 4, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC are supported. The TCL 30 SE is powered by Android 12 and comes with its own TCL UI 4.0 skin. Although it is not unusual, the user interface is rather nice.

TCL 30E Camera

Despite the pricing difference, the phone has the same camera sensor. The TCL 30 E’s back camera has the same 50MP primary sensor but lacks a depth sensor of 2MP. Additionally, the selfie camera on the 30 E has been reduced to a 5MP 1/5″ sensor with a 76° field of view.

TCL 30E Battery

The TCL 30 E has the same 5000mAh battery and 10W charger as the TCL 30. The battery can be completely charged in three hours with the included charger. However, this time around, charging is as quick as it gets (there is no 15W support).

TCL 30E Verdict

When it comes to the pricing of this specific smartphone, it is a bargain when you consider that it has a powerful camera profile built in, as well as a long-lasting battery and expandable internal storage space.
