Vivo V21e

Vivo introduced the V series a few years ago with the goal of appealing to shoppers in the mid-range category with a high-quality set of features. The company’s V20 portfolio was the best-looking in its segment last year. This year, the firm debuted the V21 series, which includes the V21e. Concentrating more on the camera section this time, the Vivo V21e comes with a 44MP selfie camera along with other features that we will explore in this writeup. Vivo V21e Price in India 

Vivo V21e is expected to cost Rs 23,690 in India. On June 24, 2021, the Vivo V21e is expected to be released in India (Expected). The Vivo V21e smartphone is available in the colours Diamond Flare and Roman Black. The actual price will be updated once the Vivo V21e comes to the Indian smartphone market. Presently the Vivo V21e is available in the Malaysian smartphone market for sale. 

No compromise has been made in terms of the build quality and design of the Vivo V21e. Both front and back are made of glass and there is an anti-glare matte glass surface on the rear for offering a delicate touch. There is a rectangular shaped camera module on the top left and there is Vivo’s branding on the back panel. 

On the front, there is a waterdrop notch for housing the selfie camera along with a small chin at the bottom of the screen. The black colour model looks extra premium with its gradient back. For unlocking the device, the Vivo V21e comes with an under-display fingerprint sensor. 

There is a Type-C charging port at the bottom plus a 3.5mm headphone jack and speaker grille. The volume rocker is on the right edge along with the power button and the SIM tray is on the left edge. With just 7.38mm thickness and 171 grams of weight, you’ll easily hold this device single-handedly due to its sleekness and lightweight. 

Vivo V21e comes with a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. The display has a pixel density of 405 PPI along with an aspect ratio of 20:9. There is a normal refresh rate and the device doesn’t feature any glass protection. At the given price point, Vivo should have included a 90Hz refresh rate screen here. 

An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor powers the Vivo V21e. It has a total of 8GB of RAM. you won’t feel any stutter while running multiple applications at a time and the gaming experience s\is also going to be decent, however, the heating issues are going to be there at higher graphics settings while playing for a longer duration. 

Vivo V21e runs on Funtouch OS 11.1 based on Android 11 and comes with 128GB of internal storage that can be increased through a microSD card. Some of the connectivity features offered by the Vivo V21e include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v5.10, and 4G LTE and the sensors which are available in this device are Accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/magnetometer, proximity sensor etc.

The camera section is the exhibition area of the Vivo V21e and to provide an excellent photography experience Vivo has concentrated more on the camera section of the Vivo V21e. 

There is a 64MP triple-rear camera setup with a 64MP main camera featuring an f/1.89 aperture, an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera features include  4K Video, Eye Autofocus, Super Night Mode, Ultra-Wide Night, Ultra Stable Video, Art Portrait Video, Super Macro, Bokeh Portrait and Multi-Style Portrait. 

The front of the phone has a 44 MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies and supports Super Night Selfie, AI Night Portrait, 4K Video, Steadi Face, Portrait light effect, Video Face Beauty, Dual-View Video and autofocus. So the overall photography experience with the selfie camera is going to be really awesome. 

Vivo V21e comes equipped with a 4000 mAh battery which is capable of providing at least a day’s power backup if not more than that. However, it won’t take you much time to refill the battery with the 33W fast charging support. There is a Type-C charging port available in the device for connecting the charger. 

In a nutshell, if you are looking for a smartphone particularly for photography along with overall decent performance and you are not into gaming and ok with 4G connectivity then you may think about Vivo V21e. However, there is a normal refresh rate, just 4000 mAh battery and an absence of 5G at this price point, which all together make this device unsuitable given the present-day demand and overall competition.
