Redmi Note 7 features a dual-camera module – a 12MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor to capture the depth information for portrait mode snaps. Since the dual-camera setup is AI-enhanced, it can detect scenes in real-time. Also, it comes with settings like Exposure compensation, ISO control, Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, Touch to focus, Phase Detection autofocus, and much more.
The phone can click some great shots in well-lit conditions. The colour representation looks accurate, with a fair share of details packed in. For low-light settings, the phone has the Night Mode which does a pretty decent job. In low light conditions the camera might fail to capture a lot of detail, but the photos aren’t bad altogether. However, the focus is relatively slow, so you will need to be a little patient.
As for the 13MP selfie camera, it also takes some really great shots in well-lit conditions. However, low-light shots lack clarity, since there’s no flash. The AI Portrait mode is a welcome addition since they allow for picture perfect selfies.
