Apple’s latest A16 Bionic chipset powers the Apple iPhone 14 Pro. Apple prioritised its new CPU’s battery efficiency, display, and camera during the launch event. The six-core CPU has four efficiency cores that utilise a third of the power of competing CPUs and two high-performance cores that require 20% less power. The new Dynamic Island feature on display and the fluid motions are also made possible by the new A16 chip, which will also power Apple’s new camera system. The 4nm fabrication of the chip will also improve the battery efficiency of the smartphone, giving you an extra screen on time.

Like the Apple iPhone 13 Pro series, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro also comes with a single 6GB RAM with different storage variants. The iPhone 14 Pro hence should be a delight for your multitasking needs and provide better battery efficiency.

The display is the area where we see most of the changes in the Apple iPhone 14 Pro. To begin with, the iPhone 14 Pro series, unlike the Apple iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, finally comes without the dated notch and now comes with a pill-shaped front cutout, which Apple is naming, the Dynamic Island. Further, Apple is also really leaning into how it animates and uses this new display system for new notifications. Alerts and notifications will adjust and move around the pill-shaped notch. Apple presented a variety of animation and functionality features for the Dynamic Island system, including animated live activity widgets and music controls. Background activities like music playback will relocate to the island when you swipe to go home.

With the iOS 16 update, Apple has also finally introduced the Always On Display feature on their new iPhone 14 series, which operates with iOS 16’s new lock screen widget feature. Without requiring the iPhone to wake up, it will provide information like reminders, calendar events, and weather. Even iOS 16 wallpapers have a sleep mode that makes them darker to conserve battery life.
