I&#8217;m examining the Asus Zenbook Flip 14 review with a top-of-the-line AMD Ryzen 9 processor, 16GB of RAM, a 14-inch OLED display, and Windows 11 pre-installed. The top cover of the ZenBook Flip 14 is composed of aluminium, and the base panel is made of magnesium alloy. The result is a solid, smooth laptop body that&#8217;s comfortable to hold and attractive to look at. The laptop looks sleek and professional in its only Light Grey colourway but is not terribly intriguing. Dark chrome finishes the back edge and hinges, which I think will be a hit or miss with today&#8217;s users. However, the signature &#8216;Zen-inspired&#8217; spun-metal finish on the top cover is missing. It also lacks the new offset Asus logo. But that&#8217;s comprehensible because it&#8217;s well-constructed, and that&#8217;s what matters.

The ZenBook Flip 14 has a glossy touchscreen panel with somewhat thick black bezels on all four sides when the lid is opened with two hands. With the 4.37-millimetre &#8216;NanoEdge&#8217; bezels, Asus claims to have achieved a 90% screen-to-body ratio. The laptop is on the heavier side at 1.6kgs. When the gadget is utilised as a tablet, this becomes clear. On the plus side, it has a lighter feel in the hands. I truly wish Asus had added a storage pocket for the accompanying stylus and made the ZenBook Flip 14 a more appealing package for heavy tablet users.

The Asus Zenbook 14 Flip OLED is distinguished by its stunning 14-inch touch-enabled OLED screen with 2.8K (2880 x 1800 pixels) quality and a rich viewing experience. I say stunning because the colours from the desktop burst at you from the time you open the clamshell, but in a delicate way. The display features impressive blacks and vivid colours throughout.
In the Asus Zenbook 14 Flip review, display performance is excellent for gaming, editing, reading, and watching content. This will appeal to individuals who wish to use their laptops for streaming content and photo and video editing.
The advanced display settings allow users to adjust the refresh rate to 90Hz. Although the viewing/scrolling experience is not as fluid as the 120Hz or 144Hz refresh rate screens, you will not be disappointed.
If I had to pick a flaw, I would say that an anti-fingerprint screen would have sufficed. To be honest, many touch-enabled laptop screens don&#8217;t come with this coating, so Amazon Basic&#8217;s Microfiber Cleaning Cloth could be a good option.

Those worried about performance on the ZenBook 14 Flip will be pleasantly surprised. This Windows 11 laptop is responsive and responsive. The ZenBook 14 Flip retained its cool and handled all the loads with ease, whether I put it through its paces at work or used it on weekends to catch up on Netflix and Hotstar. On my busiest days, the laptop handled up to 12-13 Google Chrome tabs with ease while simultaneously running MS Word and WhatsApp.
The AMD Ryzen 9 processor, combined with 16GB RAM and 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD storage, is responsible for extremely quick performance. There is no separate graphics card, but you do get AMD Radeon graphics built-in. This does not make it a gaming laptop, but it can easily handle some basic gaming. In fact, I was able to play games at 1080p quality with 30-40 frames per second with low-medium graphics settings.

While the touch precision of the display is excellent, the included stylus is not suited for drawing. In my experience, the stylus does not always recognise inputs in supported apps like OneNote and Paint 3D the first time, necessitating additional strokes. At 1024 levels, pressure sensitivity is also a tad on the low side. However, it is adequate for mild scribbling. Without too much effort, you should be able to take notes and annotate papers. I wish the stylus had its own storage compartment in the laptop. That would have given the ZenBook Flip 14 a significant advantage over its rivals.

The ZenBook Flip 14&#8217;s keyboard is one of the most comfortable I&#8217;ve experienced on a convertible laptop. The huge three-stage illuminated keys provide a good amount of travel and resistance. As a result, you&#8217;ll get a pleasant, relaxing typing experience ideal for long emails and papers. However, I wish the arrow keys were a little larger for extra comfort. When the illumination is turned on, it&#8217;s also impossible to read the characters on the silvery keys. I wish Asus had picked a darker tone for the keycaps. It is, nonetheless, an excellent keyboard for intensive typing.

In the ZenBook Flip 14 review, I found that the touchpad is a modern precision unit that enables multi-finger taps and swipes natively on Windows without needing a third-party driver or software. The smooth Mylar-covered touchpad surface is ideal for multi-finger motions. The two click controls below the surface are also simple to operate. Overall, it&#8217;s a great input device for surfing, modifying spreadsheets, and moving things around in File Explorer.

A 63-watt battery powers the Asus ZenBook 14 Flip OLED. For charging, the laptop has a USB Type-C connection. On the device, there is also the capability for 100W fast charging. The unit takes around an hour and a half to fully charge. During my Asus Zenbook Flip 14 review, I was receiving about six to seven hours of battery backup during regular work cycles with a 90Hz refresh rate selected. If you use the laptop to watch or read while doing light online browsing and standard refresh, this might last up to 10 hours (60Hz). As a result, the ZenBook 14 Flip is a wonderful solution for professionals on the run (at least in terms of battery). However, anything that consumes a lot of power, such as video editing or gaming, will significantly reduce battery life.

The Asus ZenBook Flip 14 uses two bottom speaker grilles near the chin of the laptop&#8217;s base panel to deliver sound. The sound from these Harman Kardon-certified drivers is positively hollow, giving the impression that you&#8217;re listening to music inside a well or cave. The highs and mids emerge from the grilles with noticeable clarity, but the lows do not. The speakers do, however, have a detectable level of stereo separation. Even yet, this combination is better suited for speeches and background music than full-fledged entertainment. Invest in an excellent pair of headphones if you want high-quality audio.

Unlike prior ZenBook Flip models—such as this one—the ZenBook Flip 14 offers a wide range of standard connectivity choices. A round-pin power port, a full-size HDMI port, a USB-A 3.1 port, and a USB-C 3.1 port can all be found on the left side of the device&#8217;s body. A microSD card slot, a USB-A 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm audio socket for headsets are all found on the right side. On the right side, there are a few status indicators and a tiny power button that is difficult to see without glancing at the gadget. The Asus Vivobook S15 S532F is described as a thin and light notebook. However, since it&#8217;s still a 15-inch gadget, it&#8217;s not as portable as today&#8217;s more popular 13-inch and 14-inch devices. It&#8217;s 1.8kg in weight and 18mm thick. As the name says, the Asus VivoBook S series is all about style. Moss Green, Punk Pink, and Transparent Silver are the three colours available for the Asus Vivobook S15 S532F.
The two brighter metallic lid options will stand out with their bright, showy lids and contrasting trim edges around the lids. Those who like a more modest style should go for the silver option. The overall design is elegant and inviting, especially with the Asus VivoBook logo off-centred on the lid.
In this laptop category, the Asus &#8220;ergo lift&#8221; hinge design has made its debut. When the lid is open, the back of the lid sits on your table, and the laptop&#8217;s base is raised at an angle. This is meant to make typing more comfortable. Even though it may improve cooling via airflow, we didn&#8217;t detect a substantial difference in comfort.
For a more modern look, the screen&#8217;s sides are somewhat narrow. The ScreenPad is a combination of a trackpad and a touchscreen, although it takes some getting used to. The top border is still thick enough to accommodate a webcam, which is okay. Although the lid flexed a lot, we didn&#8217;t see any screen distortion. Instead of a glossy screen, Asus has chosen to employ a matte one.

The screen quality hasn&#8217;t improved much since the S530, which is one of the key evidence that the Asus VivoBook S15 S532 belongs in the mid-to lower-tier segment. To begin with the positives, this laptop has a 15.6-inch matte IPS screen with thin bezels. It is, however, a dull display with lower colour fidelity and narrower viewing angles than the ZenBooks or other higher-tier 15-inch notebooks.
I believe most of you find this screen adequate as long as you keep your laptop indoors, don&#8217;t plan to run any colour-accurate tasks, and gaze at it straight on. If that&#8217;s not the case, a higher-tier laptop with a brighter and higher-quality panel would be better.
It&#8217;s also worth noting that our item hasn&#8217;t exhibited any bothersome light-bleeding or homogeneity concerns. However, because the panel came out of the box with certain issues with the White Point, Gamma, Colors, and Gray levels, you&#8217;ll need to calibrate it or install this profile to fix them.
If you&#8217;re used to playing games on 120/144 Hz panels with faster response rates, you&#8217;ll notice the noticeable screen tearing and latency while playing games on this one.

The Asus Vivobook S15 S532F is relatively compact, despite being more prominent than other ultrabooks. It&#8217;ll be easy to carry and use on your lap, and the matte screen is always a plus. During our extensive testing, we appreciated how quiet the laptop was. The centre and right sides of the keyboard grew warm during intensive exams and games, but this was not an issue during everyday use. Except towards the extreme left side, where our palm had to rest when typing, the ScreenPad didn&#8217;t get too hot.
Although being an IPS LCD panel, the screen isn&#8217;t the best in terms of colour purity and viewing angles. Colours are dull, and films are drab, showing that this laptop&#8217;s entertainment and content creation capabilities are limited. We had to increase the brightness setting above normal because we desired a brighter show. Working with text, accessing the Web, and executing basic productivity chores, on the other hand, was a breeze.
The speakers are located at the bottom of the room, and the maximum volume was kept to a minimum. The sound is clear, and we could hear voices in songs and video clips when we got close enough, but there was no bass. You&#8217;ll need a good pair of headphones to get the most out of this laptop.
Although the keys on this laptop are a little spongy, there is enough travel and space for typing to be comfortable. For all of the reasons we&#8217;ve discussed, the major usability issue with this computer is acclimating to the ScreenPad. We ultimately stopped using it and simply turned it off.

This 15.6-inch laptop gives you more space than a tiny model, and the backlit keyboard, which has three degrees of brightness, will be no problem for you if you have large hands. The keys have a fair width (16mm) with plenty of room between them, and the key travel (1.4mm) and responsiveness are satisfactory.
You can grind away on the keys all day because they are soft and not unduly noisy. The F-keys are pre-programmed to conduct system operations (brightness, volume, etc. ), and there is enough space surrounding the arrow keys to find and utilise them by feel. Keep an eye on the power button, which is located in the top-right corner of the keyboard, as it can easily be unintentionally pressed, putting the device to sleep.
The key lettering may use a little more contrast in daylight, as we noticed that depending on the viewing position, they could be challenging to discern in bright situations. On the other hand, the Enter key can be easily located thanks to a bright yellow accent, and the caps lock has an LED. There&#8217;s also a number pad. However, it has somewhat squashed spacing in contrast. However, we&#8217;d prefer to have the extra space on the primary keys, which it already has.
The trackpad is a fair size, measuring 105mm x 73mm and having a smooth texture, yet it didn&#8217;t cause any tracking difficulty for us. It supports all Windows 10 gestures, including four-finger gestures (which is helpful given the lack of a touchscreen) and intelligent palm rejection.

The battery life of the Asus Vivobook S15 S532F isn&#8217;t as great as some of its competitors, but it&#8217;s still adequate. The i7 processor and the requirement to power a 15.6-inch screen demand a reduced battery life. A three-cell, 50-watt-hour lithium-ion battery powers the ASUS VivoBook S15 S533. This battery may last up to 16 hours, as claimed by ASUS.
That is, however, advertising, and I was not willing to take ASUS&#8217; word for it. I had to put this laptop&#8217;s battery performance to the test in order to see how long it would last in real life. The battery lasted less than four hours when running the demanding PCMark 8 Home test on a loop. It lasted longer than our video test file, which lasted seven hours and 45 minutes.
The battery life on the Asus Vivobook S15 S532F isn&#8217;t quite as good as it could be. It will, however, keep you going for the better part of the day, if not the entire day. After all, you&#8217;re not going to be carrying this large and heavy laptop across the nation. By allowing you to top it up at home or work conveniently, the VivoBook S15 will surely pay for itself.

The speakers on the VivoBook S15 can only fill a medium-sized room. Although the speakers aren&#8217;t the loudest you&#8217;ll find, they sound great, especially on a laptop this thin. The webcam on the Asus VivoBook S15 is adequate. The 720p lens captured my burnt-orange shirt perfectly in a selfie, and I could see the stubble of my freshly shaved beard. Even with the sun flashing in from a window behind me, the VivoBook&#8217;s image was well-exposed, unlike the images from other webcams I&#8217;ve examined.
Best of all, despite the laptop&#8217;s razor-thin bezels, the webcam is positioned atop the screen. Unfortunately, a smartphone camera takes better selfies than the VivoBook S15&#8217;s. While the lens is sharp, the image taken during review has a lot of visual noise.
For a laptop this thin, the VivoBook S15 has an excellent array of ports, although I wish it included Thunderbolt 3 input.  Two USB 2.0 ports, a microSD card slot, and charging and battery status LED indicators are located on the laptop&#8217;s left side. A DC jack, USB 3.1 port, HDMI port, USB Type-C port, and headphone/mic combination jack can all be found on the right side.
