Sony WH-CH710N vs JBL Tune 760NC

In this article, the Sony WH-CH710N and JBL Tune 760NC will be compared head-to-head. On June 11, 2020, the Sony WH-CH710N was released to the Indian market. The Realme Buds Wireless 2, on the other hand, became available in India on September 20, 2021. Sony WH-CH710N price in India begins at Rs.  8,491, while JBL Tune 760NC price begins at Rs. 6,699. Let us now examine both earphones’ characteristics.

Sony WH-CH710N vs JBL Tune 760NC: Review Summary

Sony’s ANC WH-CH710N headphones are a great choice for reducing ambient noise. The snug fit and over 30 hours of continuous battery life make them perfect for busy days on the road. Your favourite songs will have more thunder and power thanks to their bass-heavy acoustic characteristics. While as the JBL Tune 760NC are stereo headsets with noise cancellations that connect over Bluetooth. They come with a sound characteristic that is somewhat bass-heavy, which gives your music more thud and wallop while yet maintaining neutrality that allows them to be used with a wide variety of various sorts of audio material.

Sony WH-CH710N vs JBL Tune 760NC: Features

The controls of the Sony WH-CH710N are well-designed. Each of the four buttons is accompanied by a distinct indent or squiggle to help you distinguish between them. It’s a shame the buttons aren’t more responsive, but at least there are audible cues for some actions. You may choose between “Ambient Sound Mode,” “Active Noise Cancelling,” and both options with the push of a button located on the right cup. The goal of the “Ambient Sound Mode” is to let you hear your environs without interrupting your music. You may control the volume using the plus and minus buttons.

While as the JBL Tune 760NC has a good selection of knobs and buttons. The volume, ANC, and power can all be controlled through a set of controls located on the right cup.   Audio playback and phone calls are controlled by the centre button. Calls may be declined by holding it, and the voice assistant can be activated. Additionally, entering connection mode for a separate device is possible by pushing the power button repeatedly. The construction of the JBL Tune 760NC is satisfactory. Almost all of them are made of plastic, which has a satisfyingly sturdy quality. Faux leather lines the headpiece and the cups for comfort.

Sony WH-CH710N vs JBL Tune 760NC: Sound Quality

While you are using these headphones, you will still be able to hear engine noise from things like buses and aeroplanes since the Sony WH-CH710N does not filter out a significant amount of ambient noise, particularly at the low end of the frequency spectrum.

While as JBL Tune 760NC‘s active noise cancellation (ANC) function is superior to adaptive noise exclusion in the mid and treble frequency regions. More bass-heavy ambient noise may be muffled by the ANC. Although, certain noises remain, such as passing buses and planes. They lack any audio personalization options, which is a major drawback.

Sony WH-CH710N vs JBL Tune 760NC: Battery

Battery life is superb with the Sony WH-CH710N. Even though their promised battery life of 35 hours is lower than what you’ll really get, you shouldn’t have to worry about charging them every day for at least 30 hours of usage.

While as if you’re looking for a Bluetooth speaker with excellent battery life, go no further than the JBL Tune 760NC. You can play them also with ANC on for more than 40 hours without worrying about them dying. If you disable the ANC feature, the maker claims it will last for 50 hours. They also claim that a five-minute charge would provide two hours of listening time.

Conclusion

Sony’s WH-CH710N is decent over-ear headphones for short trips and commuting. They don’t cause much in the way of ear strain even when worn for hours at a time, and their lengthy continuous battery life is sufficient for extended trips abroad. While as the JBL Tune 760NC still have trouble drowning out low-frequency sounds like bus and aeroplane engines. They’re not easy to transport, and prolonged use may cause discomfort because of their close fit.
