Huawei Mate 40 Pro Plus Price in India

Talking about the price tag, the Huawei P40 Pro Plus was launched at a price tag of $1,599 and is expected to arrive in India at a whopping Rs 121,890/- price point. Although it is a rumoured launch price and isn’t confirmed yet.

No doubt, Huawei Flagships never fail to impress us with their gorgeous design. The same goes for Huawei Mate P40 Pro Plus which gets a glass front coupled with a ceramic back and a premium aluminium frame.  The curved display at the front also embodies a dual punch-hole cut out which is pretty large. The bezels on top and bottom are negligible and thanks to the curved edges and rounded corners, the phone gets a nearly edge-to-edge display.

The build of the device makes it look very pleasing and way more premium as compared to rival flagship phones. At the back, there’s a huge circular-shaped camera bump which is hollow at the centre and houses the Penta-camera setup. We have power and volume buttons to the right along with a blazingly fast under-the-display fingerprint scanner. At the bottom is a USB Type-C port, a SIM card slot, a speaker grille and a primary mic while the top has an IR blaster and a secondary mic. We also get to see a third mic near the rear camera setup.

The first thing that comes up as one of the best things on the spec-sheet of the Huawei Mate P40 Pro Plus is a 6.76-inch Curved OLED panel with an FHD+ 2772 x 1344 Pixels resolution. Boosting this configuration, even more, is a 240 Hz touch sampling rate and the capability to elevate up to 90 Hz refresh rate. The display comes with a 456 PPI density and over 94.6% screen-to-body ratio. The device is HDR10 ready with 16.7 million colours.

Being a flagship, the Huawei Mate P40 Pro Plus flaunts the powerful Kirin 9000 5G processor manufactured on a 5nm+ node with two cores at a max frequency of 3.13GHz. It is flanked with a Mali-G78 MP24 GPU which promises superb graphics processing. Accompanying this powerful chipset is 12GB of RAM along with 256GB of SFS 1.0 internal storage that can be further expanded by up to 256GB using a Nano Memory card.

Although any of the Google Play Services isn’t available on Huawei smartphones, the device still runs on Android 10 with the latest version of EMUI on top.

The Mate 40 Pro Plus has lucrative optics on-board, thanks to the high-end Penta-camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture and features such as omnidirectional PDAF, Laser AF and OIS. The secondary is an 12MP telephoto with f/2.4 aperture and 3x optical zoom with OIS and PDAF. Accompanying this is an 8MP periscope telephoto sensor with f/4.4 aperture, 10x optical zoom, PDAF and OIS.  Then there is a fourth 20MP ultrawide PDAF with an aperture of f/2.4. Lastly there is also a 3D ToF depth sensor. The device is capable of shooting 4K and 1080p videos at up to 60fps and 720p videos at up to 3840fps.

The front dual-punch hole camera setup sports a 13MP primary sensor with f/2.4 aperture and an IR ToF 3D depth sensor that also works as a biometrics sensor. The selfie camera can record videos at 4K resolution at 60fps.

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro Plus sports a large 4,400 mAh Li-Po battery with an amazing 66W fast charging technology that most other devices in this segment fail to offer. The device is also packed with a 50W fast wireless and a 5W fast reverse wireless charging technology that makes the battery department as one of the USPs of the device.

The penta-camera setup along with such powerful internals and an impressive battery configuration makes the Huawei Mate P40 Pro Plus one of the most premium and recommended devices in the market. But the fact that it lacks Google Mobile Services cannot be ignored as this would make you void of any Google apps and services until the trade war between the US and China ends.
