Ikall has launched multiple entry-level smartphones in the Indian smartphone market to grab its share in the highly competitive market. Following the same, the company has recently come up with the latest entry-level device called the Ikall Z8 with multiple features. The IKall Z8 may be purchased at 4899 rupees on Flipkart with a configuration of 3GB RAM and 16Gb internal storage. There is a Blue colour variant listed on the website. However, the device is currently out of stock.

Ikall Z8 Design

The Ikall Z8 is a bulky device weighing 300 grams and features an old school design with top and bottom bezels on the front covering almost half of the display. There is a dew-drop notch for housing the selfies camera. On the rear, the shiny appearance looks great but feels cheap since the material is plastic. There is no fingerprint sensor and the device does not feature any glass protection or any IP certification.

There is a 5.45-inch IPS display included in the device which comes with 480 by 960-pixel resolution and supports HD gameplay. This is a basic display with one step ahead of the feature phones. Therefore you’ll get an ordinary viewing experience.

A Quad-Core processor is driving the Ikall Z8, running at 1.3 GHz. Also, there is 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. You can expand the internal storage up to 64GB via a dedicated microSD slot. Looking at the rear camera module, it appears that there are four sensors, but in reality, there is just one 8MP sensor in the rear camera setup of this smartphone, which by no means is impressive. The front 5MP camera is also something that should have been something more in terms of megapixels.

Although, it is a trend to add a large capacity battery to the entry-level devices among the smartphone manufacturers. Ikall has followed the old trend and added a small 2800 mAh battery inside the device, which by no means is an attention grabber. Also, there is no fast charging option.

Ikall Z8 is a basic entry-level smartphone which comes with some entry-level features. You can buy the smartphone if you are making a transition from the feature phones if your budget is low. However, it is always best to add a few more bucks to the budget and grab a nice deal.
