In the Indian smartphone market, iQOO, a sub-brand of Vivo made its entry last year after launching its first smartphone, the iQOO 3. Since then there are multiple smartphones launched by the company but iQOO made them available in China only. Adding to the line-up, iQOO has moved forward and come up with a new device in the country, promising heavy specs like 5G connectivity and a solid performance along with huge battery backup at an affordable price tag. SO here is what they are offering in this smartphone.

Vivo iQOO U3 Price in India

iQOO U3 has been priced in China for 6GRAM + 128GB internal storage at 1498 Yuan, translating into Rs.16,800, while the 8GBRAM + 128GB internal storage option is available at 1698 Yuan which converts into Rs.19,100. iQOO U3 is now available for pre-order sales in the country in Glow Blue and two early black colour options. This device will go on sale starting from December 18th.

The physical dimensions of the iQOO U3 measures at 164.15mm in length, 75.35mm in width and 8.4mm thick and the device weighs around 185.5 grams, making this smartphone heavy to handle. The material used for manufacturing the iQOO U3 includes Glass on the front and metal for both the back panel and the frame. Also, the front panel comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

The iQOO U3 features a high up bezel at the bottom and a water-drop notch at the top centre for housing the selfie camera. On the back panel, there is a dual-rear camera setup housed in a square shaped-module. The biometric fingerprint scanner comes integrated with the power button and located on the right side of the iQOO U3.

Talking about the display, the iQOO U3 offers a 6.58-inch IPS LCD screen with 1080 by 2408 pixel resolution making this an FHD+ display. The screen itself has a 90Hz refresh rate along with 180HZ touch sampling rate, which is good enough in a mid-range device.

The device draws power from MediaTek Dimnesty 800U processor along with Mali-G57 MC3 GPU. The iQOO U3 packs with 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. Also, the device comes with the liquid cooling system, which helps to reduce the smartphone temperature in extreme conditions.

On the software front, the iQOO U3 runs on the Android 10 out of the box along with iQOO UI skin on top of it. The connectivity option on the iQOO U3 included 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1 and GPS.  

As for the camera, the iQOO U3 is featuring a dual-camera setup on the rear in a square-shaped module at the top left corner including the LED flash. The dual-rear camera supports a 48MP main sensor with f/1.79 aperture, followed by a 2MP depth sensor featuring an f/2.4 aperture. On the rear camera, you can shoot videos up to 4K at 30fps. For selfies, the iQOO U3 has got an 8MP camera under the water-drop notch at the top centre coming with f/2.0 aperture.

 iQOO U3 comes backed with a huge 5000 mAh battery for carrying your daily activities. The battery supports 18W fast charging, ensuring a quick refill. There is a Type-C charging port and a 3.5mm headphone jack included in the iQOO U3 for connecting your charger and headphone.

Vivo iQOO U3 is a decent smartphone offering 5G connectivity at an affordable price, a decent processor and an elegant battery backup and fast charging compatibility. However, the camera section of this smartphone is disappointing.
