Lava Z61 Pro

Because of the growing demand for entry-level smartphones, Lava has got a huge catalogue with a number of smartphones belonging to this section. Also, the competition is too high and Lava has always tried to bring useful features at this level. Lava launched the Lava Z61 Pro in July last year with a pocket-friendly price tag. Let us check all the features one by one for gauging the capability of this entry-level smartphone. 

Lava Z61 Pro price in India 

The Indian smartphone company has launched this device in a single variant with 2GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Lava Z61 Pro price for this lone variant is Rs.5,777 and you can buy this device in three colour options and those are Midnight Blue, Amber Red and Lavender Blue. 

Lava Z61 Pro comes with a glass front, while the frame and rear panel are made of plastic. The rear side has got a gradient pattern, which looks pretty cool and there is a pill-shaped camera module housing the single-camera at the top left corner. Also, there is a logo from the brand on the rear. Looking at the front, there is nothing special. The smartphone has an old school design on the font with prominent bezels at the top and bottom and covering a large portion of the screen. On the right, there is the power button and the volume rocker, while the top side is featuring a USB 2.0 charging port along with a 3.5mm headphone jack.  

Lava Z61 Pro features a 5.45-inch HD+ display with 2.5D curved screen and comes with a resolution of 720 pixels along with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a pixel density of 295PPI. Also the display of the Lava Z61 Pro supports 16M colours.  

Lava Z61 Pro comes with an octa-core processor, running at 1.6 GHz. There is 2GB RAM available along with 16GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The operating system for this smartphone is Android 9.0 Pie.

The other features supported by Lava Z61 Pro include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GLONASS, 4G Network and OTG. 

As for the camera, Lava Z61 Pro comes with a single-camera setup on the rear in a pill-shaped module at the top left corner. There is an 8MP main sensor with f/2.0 aperture. On the rear camera, you can shoot videos up to 1080P. For selfies, Lava Z61 Pro has got a 5MP camera on the front. 

Some of the additional features offered in this section include HDR Mode, Burst Mode, panorama, Bokeh Mode, Night shot and portrait mode. 

The battery section of Lava Z61 Pro comprises a 3100 mAh Li-Polymer battery. According to the smartphone company, the 3100 mAh battery is sufficient enough to ensure 535 hours and 45 minutes of standby time, 6 hours and 30 minutes of YouTube playback time and 17 hours and 50 minutes of Talk time. For 100% refill, it will take 3 hours and 30 minutes. Overall, this is the disappointing section of Lava Z61 Pro.
