Motorola Moto Z2 Force

As of July 2019, the phone is priced at a starting range of Rs. 20, 899. With a sleek, appealing look and great battery life coupled with an excellent camera, the phone is definitely a seller.

With a unibody metal design, Motorola Z2 Force has a plastic front and is made out of series 7000 aluminum and has an excellent, sturdy build. It is rather sleek, at just 6.1mm thickness it weighs a light 143 grams. The lightness of the device makes it feel comfortable in one’s hands even after a long period of usage. The model has craft fully rounded neat corners and the edges around the display taper neatly, giving the phone an elegant finish. The display screen is protected by a shatterproof glass and has a fingerprint sensor feature is also present on the body of the phone. The phone is splash resistant, but lacks the water resistant IP certification.

The model has a 5.5 inch display with a Quad HD 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. It has a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 534 PPI density. The screen is a P-OLED capacitive touchscreen with 16 M colours, and it has a 70.4 % screen to body ratio. The screen display is shatterproof and water resistant. The display screen has water repellent nano-coating. However, user reviews claim that the screen is prone to slight scratches and it is best to keep the phone away from water. 

Z2 Force has a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 chipset with 8x Kryo 280 processors. It has one quad core cluster at 2.35 GHz and the other quad cluster at 1.9 GHz. This combination is paired with an Adreno 540 GPU. The phone is available at a 6 GB or 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM. Available internal storage for the phone stands at either 64 GB or 128 GB and is expandable up to 2 TB through a dedicated micro SD card slot. It is available in Android 8.0 Oreo and may be upgraded to Android 9.0 Pie. The phone is fast, allows scope for multitasking and swift interchange between apps. Even with heavy usage, the phone functions smoothly and barely lags. Games will run smoothly on this device with barely any disruption.  However, the phone heats up after intensive usage and the warmth can be felt due to its thin body.

The front camera is of 5MP with f/2.2 aperture. It has a dual LED and dual tone flash and wide angle lens at 85°. The front camera has auto night mode, beatification, professional and portrait mode. All these features are impressive for a front camera and will lead to sharp images even in low light. The rear camera has a dual 12 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and sensors. It has features such as depth detection, depth effects, zero shutter lag and phase detection auto focus. These lead to impeccable, sharp and vivid images with a great pixel resolution. The camera of this model is commendable and is one of its top notch sellable features.

This model has a non removable Li-ion 2730 mAh battery which has the fast charging feature. It can be charged with a USB type C.  There is a barometer sensor present in the phone to detect overheating of battery. Battery performance is quite excellent and one can continue heavy usage and run heavy games and apps without worry. When the battery does run out after long hours of usage, the fast charging feature will recharge the phone’s battery completely in under an hour. 15 W turbopower charges the phone for hours in a matter of minutes. The battery performance of the phone is quite impressionable. 

The phone is great for heavy usage and comes with an excellent battery life, fast charging and a great camera which captures rather sharp images. The phone’s configuration gives it a smooth and fast performance without much scope for lagging. However, the phone misses out on a few features like a scratch proof display, water and dust proofing and the phone may get heated up after a lot of use. According to use reviews, the phone is long lasting and gives great performance and the lack of these few features does not make a significant difference. If looking at a long lasting phone with good performance, Z2 Force should definitely be on your list.
