Apple is considering a paid subscription for advanced Siri features. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the company may charge users for the smartest parts of the new Siri AI. This comes after Apple showed major Siri upgrades at WWDC 2026. The idea is still in early stages, but it could change how people use Siri in the future.
Why Apple Might Launch Siri Subscription

Gurman shared his thoughts on this possible change.
- Advanced Siri needs expensive servers and high computing power, thus this Siri subscription.
- Basic Siri functions will remain free for everyone
- Conversational and generative AI features may get rate limits
- iCloud+ users can currently increase their usage limits
- A separate paid plan could arrive later for full access
This model is similar to other AI services like ChatGPT.
