Apple iPhone 15 Design and Build
The Apple iPhone 15 weighs just 171 grams, making it feel light in the hand. It’s easy to carry and doesn’t feel bulky even after long use. This phone features a flat-edge aluminium frame with a soft matte back that looks and feels premium.
I’m using the Blue colour variant, which stands out with a pastel-like tone. It also comes in other shades, such as pink, Green, Yellow, and Black. The colour blends beautifully into the rear glass, which has a frosted texture and resists fingerprints quite well.
The back features a slight curve near the edges, enhancing the grip. However, since it’s a bit slippery, I would recommend using a case, as I have never used it without a cover. The ceramic shield on the front and toughened glass at the back add extra protection.
The dual-camera setup sits in a square module with a slight bump, but it’s less wobbly on a flat surface. The overall build feels solid. The iPhone 15 is also IP68 rated, so it’s dustproof and can survive water splashes and submersion.
The power button is located on the right, while the volume buttons and mute switch are positioned on the left. The bottom has the speaker grille and the new USB Type-C port, replacing the old Lightning port.
In short, the Apple iPhone 15 offers a sleek, durable design with Apple’s classic minimalist touch. It feels premium and is built to withstand the test of time.

Apple iPhone 15 Camera
The Apple iPhone 15’s camera quality is better than that of other phones, considering its price range. This phone features a dual rear camera, including 48MP and 12MP sensors.
I used many Android phones like Vivo V50, Vivo T4 Ultra, OnePlus 12, Realme GT 7, etc. But every phone’s camera depends on adding saturation to its image.
However, the image maintains its clarity without any saturation or pixelation. You can also make minor edits using the built-in image editor for enhanced clarity.
This phone delivers the best image results when used in proper lighting, whether natural or studio.
You can see my images taken in various conditions. The colours of the trees and sky are nearly true to life. My portrait mode also performs well, with edges being detected perfectly.
However, I must honestly say that the image quality in low light is not excellent. I took several pictures in low light, and the results looked pixelated.
This phone features a 12MP front camera, and the overall result is satisfactory. There is no added colour, and the results are true to reality.
Now, let’s discuss the most exciting and important aspect: videography. I primarily purchased this phone for content creation purposes, and I have used it in various conditions.
The video quality is outstanding. You can use it without an external microphone, as its built-in microphones are capable of capturing audio even in noisy environments. I also tried out its cinematic mode, which perfectly captures the focused subject, although it requires proper lighting conditions to produce the best results.
In my Apple iPhone 15 long-term review, I found that this phone remains the best option for content creation and photography.
Apple iPhone 15 Battery and Charging
The Apple iPhone 15 offers up to 20 hours of video playback and 80 hours of audio playback. I purchased it seven months ago when its battery health was at 99 per cent. However, two months ago, I noticed that the battery was draining quite quickly, which I initially attributed to the summer heat.
When I checked the battery health, I was surprised to find it had dropped from 99 per cent to 89 per cent. Now, I’m getting about 13 to 14 hours of battery life.
The box does not include a charger; it only comes with a Type-C to Type-C cable. You can purchase a 20W charger from Flipkart or Amazon. This phone can be charged to 50% in just 30 minutes. While I have not used its wireless charging feature, it supports 15W MagSafe wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wired charging as well.
Apple iPhone 15 Display
I’ve been using the Apple iPhone 15 for the last nine months, and its display never disappoints. It features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with 2556 x 1179 resolution. The pixel density is around 460 ppi, and the sharpness is top-class.
This display offers deep blacks and vibrant colours. I watched a few HDR videos on YouTube and Netflix, and the quality looked stunning. It supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, which bring out more detail and contrast in movies. Currently, I’m watching “Peaky Blinders”, which is a dark-themed series, and its deep black colours are quite perfect.
The brightness is strong enough for outdoor use. I used it in direct sunlight, and everything remained visible. Apple claims a typical brightness of 1000 nits and a peak of up to 2000 nits in HDR or outdoor mode, and I could feel the difference.
Unlike some Android phones, it sticks to a 60Hz refresh rate. Scrolling feels smooth, but not as fast as 120Hz displays. Still, I never faced any lag or stutter while using apps or browsing. I’m used to 60Hz, but my Pixel-using colleagues often tease me about it.
It also includes True Tone and Night Shift. I turned on Night Shift at night, and it reduced eye strain. The colour tone shifts slightly warmer, which feels easy on the eyes.
Overall, the Apple iPhone 15’s long-term display review offers solid colours, sharp details, and strong brightness. I didn’t face any major issues while using it daily.
Apple iPhone 15 Performance
Apple iPhone 15 comes with Apple A16 Bionic (4 nm) chipset, offering quite smooth performance in daily use. The iPhone 15 features custom NVMe storage, offering blazing-fast app loads and file access speeds. It’s closest in performance to Android’s latest UFS 4.0 standard, both offering over 3 GB/s of sequential read speeds. However, NVMe benefits more from Apple’s tight OS-level optimisation.
In my opinion, I primarily use this phone for content creation and managing daily tasks. Overall, its performance has been quite good, and I haven’t encountered any major heating issues. However, if you use the camera for extended periods, you might experience some heating. Initially, I didn’t notice any heating, but now the phone heats up during charging as well.
Honestly, I haven’t played much BGMI on this phone, but from the little I’ve played, I’ve had a good experience without any high ping or lag issues. Additionally, it’s a suitable choice for gaming.
I conducted several Benchmark tests on the Apple iPhone 15 to evaluate its accurate performance in various aspects. Its Geekbench CPU scores are 2330 in single-core and 5105 in multi-core. Moreover, its Antutu score is 1341813. The 3D Mark Wildlife Extreme Stress Test for stability has an overall score of 61.1 per cent.
Apple iPhone 15 Software and UI
I’m using the Apple iPhone 15 with iOS 18.5, which I upgraded from iOS 17. The interface feels clean, fast, and easy to use. Apple doesn’t add any bloatware, so I didn’t have to uninstall anything extra.
The app icons, menus, and animations look smooth and polished. I like how everything works out of the box. I didn’t face any lag or glitches while switching between apps or using features like widgets and Control Centre.
Apple promises long-term software support. So, I’ll update to iOS 26 when it’s released to the Public. iOS 18.5 introduced useful tools, including Standby Mode, enhanced AirDrop, and Contact Posters. I also tried Live Voicemail, which works great in daily use. Siri also responds faster now, and voice commands feel more natural.
I use features like Focus Mode and Face ID every day. Face ID works quickly, even in low light. The haptic feedback across the UI feels crisp and satisfying. Overall, the Apple iPhone 15 long-term review is excellent in terms of software experience.
After Apple iPhone 15 long-term review, it remains a great choice to buy in 2025 compared to the Apple iPhone 16 and the upcoming Apple iPhone 17. If you’re looking for a phone for everyday content creation, the iPhone 15 is still very viable. While there are a few new features in the newer models, there are no major differences in terms of specifications that would significantly impact daily use.
I’m really enthusiastic about the Apple ecosystem, so I won’t recommend any Android devices over the iPhone in this price range. I believe that the iPhone performs well in almost every aspect, except for a few areas like battery life and refresh rate. I hope to see improvements in both of these areas in the future.
The Apple iPhone 15 does not include Apple Intelligence, which I have not discussed thoroughly in my review. However, if you’re looking for AI features, you might want to consider the Apple iPhone 15 Pro or Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max or one of the models from the Apple iPhone 16 series.
