Apple iPhone 15 Design

Apple iPhone 15 features a new look with the Dynamic Island which replaces the old “Notch” and features a pill-shaped cutout. The edges are now softer which makes the phone easier to hold although some people might find it less grippy. The back panel has a matte finish which helps reduce fingerprints. It also features a USB-C port, but it doesn’t offer faster transfer speeds like the Apple iPhone 15 Pro models. The iPhone 15 comes in five colours which include Black, Green, Yellow, Pink, and Blue with the black version having a graphite hue and a jet-black camera island and Apple logo.

Apple iPhone 15 has some good and not-so-good display features. It now includes the Dynamic Island, which was previously only on Pro models, and offers useful features like live updates for Maps, flight times, and sports scores. However, the display refresh rate is still set at 60Hz on the Apple iPhone 15 and Apple iPhone 15 Plus. Apple iPhone 15 comes with a 48MP main camera that takes 24MP images by default using pixel binning to save space but you can switch to 48MP in settings when you have good lighting. It offers 2x zoom by cropping the image sensor but lacks a dedicated telephoto lens. The iPhone 15 also includes a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 12MP selfie camera. It automatically detects people or pets and captures depth information for Portrait mode which allows you to adjust focus later in the Photos app. Overall the iPhone 15’s camera competes well with the Samsung Galaxy S24 although the S24 includes a telephoto camera for better zoom. At the given iPhone 15 price, the iPhone 14 Pro might be a better deal if found refurbished. Alternatives like the Google Pixel 8 and Samsung Galaxy S24 offer more features for the same price.
