The BGMI 4.6 update is set to arrive on September 16, 2026, bringing a major new supernatural experience to players. KRAFTON India has confirmed the update date and revealed its biggest attraction, the new Midnight Hunters theme mode.
The limited-time mode will be available until November 16 and will change the look and gameplay of Erangel without changing the map’s core layout. Players can expect new enemies, special missions, interactive locations, unique equipment and boss battles.
The update will also bring back the popular Ocean Odyssey underwater mode on September 30. This means players will have two different themed experiences to explore during the update period.
BGMI 4.6 Update: Midnight Hunters Brings New Gameplay To Erangel
The Midnight Hunters mode gives several Erangel locations a supernatural makeover. Rozhok, Mylta, Quarry and Gatka will feature vampire themed areas linked to new missions.
Stalber and Sosnovka Military Base will also get major changes. These locations will become indoor combat areas called the Nightkeeper’s Hunter Guild, where players can discover puzzles, hidden stories and interactive objects.

Other new features include:
- Hunter training shooting range
- Interactive clock towers that can stun nearby creatures
- Scream Crates that require players to solve a decryption challenge
- Failed decryption attempts that create loud sounds and alert nearby enemies
The mode also introduces a special transformation system. Surviving players can switch sides during a match, gaining a different appearance, abilities and gameplay style.
New Creatures, Bosses And Special Items
The BGMI 4.6 update adds several supernatural enemies that players will have to fight while exploring Erangel.
- Bloodwalkers: Ground based creatures that chase players.
- Nightbats: Flying enemies that attack using sonic waves.
- Vampire Elder: A powerful boss that strengthens connected creatures while it remains alive.
- Nightkeeper: An NPC who provides story details, upgrade materials and an optional boss challenge.
Players will also get special equipment designed for the new mode.
- Hunter Bandage: Provides faster health recovery.
- Silvermoon Chain: Works as a creature weapon, grappling tool and defensive shield.
- Twilight Bat Wings: Allows players to fly across the map for longer periods.
The BGMI 4.6 update will be available to all players from September 16. KRAFTON is expected to reveal more details, gameplay footage and complete patch notes through BGMI’s official channels before the update goes live.
