Disney+Hotstar Testing Rs 49, Rs 199 Plans; Check Details

  • Disney+ Hotstar is testing two new subscriptions plans of Rs 49, Rs 149 for users who prefer to watch their content on smartphones. The new plan is more affordable than the previous plans and the company plans to garner more subscribers with it. Read to know more here:

    Disney+ Hotstar has a variety of content for viewers to watch, including all trending movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, several Indian TV shows, a few sports exclusives and other shows. Along with the discounted subscription pack, Disney+ Hotstar is aiming to increase its user base, especially as more and more people have started to consume content via their smartphones. They have been testing their Rs. 49, Rs. 149 plans to selected users in order to test the plans.

    New Plans for Disney+Hotstar

    For other users, there are already several Disney+ Hotstar plans available. There are available at Rs 499, Rs 899, and Rs 1,499. The Rs 499 plan is for a single device streaming only, while the Rs 899 and Rs 1499 plans are for those who wish to view content on several devices, such as their TV, smartphone, or laptop. For consumers who don’t want to see advertising in between sports and movies, the Premium package is the best option as it promises ad-free content for all of its subscribers.

    According to TelecomTalk, Disney+ Hotstar is also testing with a new Rs 199 package as well. This package, too, is on an introductory basis and will cost Rs 299 in the future. The subscription has a six-month validity period and allows you 720p streaming with advertisements during sports and movies.

    Back in July 2021, Disney+ Hotstar launched a new plan worth Rs. 499 a year. The Super Plan also include support for Dolby 5.1 audio, 1080p streaming and ad-free content. Disney+ Hotstar subscription is also offered as a part of bundled services by several telecom operators in India, including Reliance Jio. Recently, the Amazon Prime Video service has increased its price and its rival Netflix has done a price cut in its plans.
