Elden Ring has been a fan favourite even before the game officially released. On February 25 2022 the game finally landed and immediately, as anticipated, it took the gaming community by storm. Besides, the game is from the same studio that brought critically acclaimed games like Dark Souls and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. From the looks of it, the game is on its way to becoming FromSoftware’s biggest hit till now.

The game is already dominating the Twitch space with over a whopping 700,000 concurrent viewers on the platform! To give you an estimate, this is way more than what Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro could do, combined.

SteamDB lists that Elden Ring was at an all-time peak of 764,835 players yesterday. The numbers must have skyrocketed even more by now. In addition, there are over 500,000 active players of the game as well. Metacritic has listed the game with a score of 97, which makes it one of the highest rated games of these past couple years.

Moreover, Elden Ring has done really well in India too with retailers reporting a sold out status for the game, according to Rishi Alwani of 0451Games. Alwani also reports that retailers have no idea as to when the game will be restocked. With the game bagging 10/10 scores left, right and center, it surely does seem like the biggest release of 2022. Future games will definitely have a tough time beating this game with the bar set this high now.

Furthermore, this is a great example of what Game Studios should be doing. Yes, no game is perfect and there are obviously going to be certain hiccups here and there. But, Elden Ring review reports do showcase that the game has done most things right.
