FAU-G becomes the top free game on Google Play in India, developer nCore Games announces on Twitter. This comes shortly after the launch of the game as an alternative to PUBG (which is now banned). The game launched in India on Republic Day after months of teasing and some delays as well. Moreover, the game is based on the exploits of Indian soldiers who were stationed in the Galwan Valley. FAU-G only offers a single-player campaign for now. However, the developers have said that there will be two additional modes coming in the future.

The developers say that it reached five million downloads within 24 hours of its launch. nCore Games claims FAU-G has become the top free game on Google Play Store, the only place it is available. In addition, its release on January 26 comes after multiple delays. However, it also got over 4 million pre-registrations on the Google Play Store ahead of its launch.

The free-to-play game comes with in-app purchases. Moreover, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar had shared that 20 percent of the revenue will go to the ‘Bharat Ke Veer’ trust. To recall, it is made in India and promoted by Kumar, who also came up with the name.

The FAU-G has only launched on Android with no information on when the iOS version will drop. However, the company also says it will be adding a ‘Free for All’ and a 5v5 ‘Team Deathmatch’ mode to the game in the future. However, the game is receiving a lot of mixed reviews with players asking for additions and more content.
