In a long-awaited announcement, Sony has revealed that the next State of Play event will take place on Thursday, June 2, of this week. Reports and updates from PlayStation first-party studios and third-party partners are set to take up a quarter of an hour during the event.
At 3:30 in the morning on June 2 (Indian Standard Time), the broadcast will be accessible on the official PlayStation channel on YouTube and Twitch.
In addition to this, it will preview the PlayStation VR2’s upcoming development slate in several exciting ways at the State of Play event. The VR2 hardware came out earlier this year to considerable enthusiasm, and it is rumouring that many renowned studios are already working on a handful of projects for the platform.
The virtual reality add-on for Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is in October of this year. It is shaping up to be one of the most exciting VR projects in the works.
PS State of Play Will Have VR2 Games
Heavy heavyweights such as God of War Ragnarok may or may not make an appearance at the State of Play; nonetheless, they may do so. This information has not been verified.
However, Santa Monica has allegedly dropped hints about the game being on track for release in 2022. It stands to reason that the game might receive a release date announcement sooner rather than later.
The game is a massive needle-mover from PlayStation platforms since it is one of the most high-profile titles from PlayStation Studios and is a great hit. Unfortunately, God of War Ragnarok got an announcement simultaneously with the PlayStation 5.
Despite this, the game’s release was late for several reasons. One of which was because the actor who plays Kratos, Christopher Judge, got hurt during the game’s production. However, it would seem at this point that the game will come within this year. Fans are looking forward to receiving further details on Friday.
