OnePlus launched OnePlus 9R early this year and is now planning to launch a sub-premium variant dubbed the OnePlus 9RT. Earlier this week, the launch date of the OnePlus 9 RT leaked online. According to leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer @OnLeaks, the OnePlus 9 RT may arrive on October 15, 2021. However, no confirmation from the company is available as of yet. Now, in a recent development, the smartphone received 3C certification in China. The certification details the charging capability of the handset and the model number.

OnePlus 9RT Receives 3C Certification

According to the listing, the smartphone carries the model number MT2110. Earlier a new OnePlus phone surfaced on the Indian BIS website. Both of these certifications carry similar model numbers. Now, the former listing mentions some charging details of the smartphone.

3C certification - OnePlus 9RT

The smartphone will offer 65W fast charging and 5G connectivity support, as per the 3C certification. These are the details we can have from the 3C listing currently. The past leak also suggests that the OnePlus 9RT will be an upgrade over the OnePlus 9 especially in terms of the camera configuration. Apart from this, the rest is expected to be similar to that of its sibling OnePlus 9R.

OnePlus 9 RT Specifications

According to leaks, the OnePlus 9RT will feature the same 120Hz display and processor as the OnePlus 9R. It will have a 6.55-inch FHD+ E3 AMOLED display with 2400×1080pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. A 16 MP secondary camera might be put up as a punch-hole on display. It also features an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The only upgrade that it will see is the camera setup over the OnePlus 9R. The upcoming device will also have the 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor as the primary lens, supporting OIS, which Is absent in the 9R. Other sensors of the handset will include a 16MP Sony IMX481 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP B&W sensor.

The 9RT will be powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, which powers the OnePlus 9R. It will have 12GB RAM and up to 256G storage. Additionally, the smartphone will run OxygenOS 12, based on Android 12. With a 4,500 mAh battery, the smartphone will also support a 65W charging tech, NFC, and a dual stereo speaker setup.
