Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 10 series in India earlier this year. To recall, the series launched in March this year and has three models. Both two models have already hiked their price earlier. However, the Redmi Note 10 Pro recently joined the bandwagon by increasing its original price. Moreover, this new price is now clearly visible on the official website.

Meanwhile, Redmi Note 10, has received three price hikes within a few weeks of its launch. The Redmi Note 10 Pro 6GB + 128GB variant also received a price hike last month in India. The smartphone now costs Rs 17,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. However, it launched at Rs 16,999 in India. Meanwhile, the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant still costs Rs 15,999.

Why is Xiaomi increasing the price of its smartphones in India?

It is likely to be a result of increase in the cost of components used in smartphones as well as other electronic gadgets. According to the company, the majority of components used in smartphones, smart TVs, and other gadgets have got expensive. These include chipsets, display panels, display driver, back panels, battery, etc. This can be the case for Redmi Note 10 Pro. Moreover, a Xiaomi spokesperson told PTI that the company has struggled with supply chain constraints since last year. The Chinese tech giant has been experiencing issues in procuring several components that are used in its products.

Specifications

Redmi Note 10 Pro specifications are similar to the Max model. It also sports a 120Hz 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display. It powers on Snapdragon 732G SoC, 16MP selfie camera, and 5,020mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. However, around the back, the phone is equipped with a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW3 primary sensor. The main camera is accompanied by a 5MP super macro sensor with 2x Zoom, an 8MP 118-degree wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.
