The Rs. 2,299 RedX Family Plan from Vi offers the same features but allows for a total of five connections. Vi has placed a six-month lock-in term on some postpaid RedX plans. This implies that consumers must subscribe to these plans for at least six months, and if they want to quit before the lock-in time is through, they must pay Rs. 3,000 exit charge. The new plans are now available on the company’s website.

Bala Yogesh, a freelance journalist, adds that Vodafone Idea (Vi) has dropped the Rs. 799 family postpaid plan from its plans. The cheapest family plan starts at Rs. 699 and includes two connections. According to reports, Vodafone Idea has increased the pricing of Rs. 199 add-on plans for new users to Rs. 249 instead. These measures are most likely being made to boost average revenue per user (ARPU), which is also being done in the prepaid category.
