Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Surfaces on Geekbench; To Feature Snapdragon 870 SoC

Xiaomi is all set to launch their Mi MIX 4 on August 10 in China. The company has now confirmed that their Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 will launch alongside it. However, we are learning more details on the latter through leaks surfacing online. Earlier this month, renders and specs of the tablet surfaced along with some certifications. It will be launching as a premium tablet by the company. Moreover, Mi Pad 5 will also come with a Smart Stylus – Smart Pen.

According to the Geekbench listing, it will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 870 chipset. It will be pairing with Adreno 650 GPU. Plus, Mi Pad 5 will pack 6GB of RAM and it runs on Android 11 out of the box. Moreover, the tablet manages to score 997 and 3181 points in the single-core and multi-core test results respectively.

As far as the specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 from the previous leaks are considered, the upcoming tablet is tipped to feature a 10.95-inch IPS LCD 120Hz display. Furthermore, the Mi Pad 5 is said to feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

In terms of optics, it will sport a dual-camera rear setup with a 20MP primary and a 13MP secondary camera. Additionally, it might draw power from an 8,720mAh battery. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 is tipped to offer 65W fast charging support. The Mi Pad 5 with model number M2105K81AC has appeared on 3C certification last month. 

Meanwhile, other leaks have suggested that the Smart Pen which will be coming with the tablet has received its FCC certification. The FCC listing had revealed the schematics of the Smart Pen ahead of launch. Additionally, we even saw the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 keyboard case image (by Mukul Sharma) courtesy of the Weibo leak.
