Xiaomi is all set to hold a launch event on September 15. Now, one of the devices that are expected to launch during this event is the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5. However, nothing has been confirmed officially from the company’s side of things. The Xiaomi tablet has been in the leaks for a long time now. The tablet has appeared across multiple certification websites in the recent past. Moreover, various leaks and reports have revealed quite a bit about the upcoming tablet already. Further, ahead of its official launch, the tablet has now surfaced online via an unboxing video. A report by Gizmo China reveals this piece of information. According to the GizmoChina report, the tablet has been leaked in an unboxing video by a Belorussian retailer called NSV.by. GizmoChina spotted this via an Instagram post made by the very same retailer. Now, this reveals the tablet’s official pricing as well.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Specs and Design
Going by the video, a couple of things can be said when it comes to the Xiaomi tablet’s specifications and design. Starting off, the tablet will come in a white retail box like its Chinese variant. However, it does come with an increased thickness, which may be because of the included accessories in the box. The box will include the charging brick for the tablet as well.

Now, moving to the Mi Pad 5 specs, the retail box reveals a couple of things. On the display front, the tablet will come with a WQHD+ resolution display along with a fast 120Hz refresh rate. The premium Xiaomi tablet will come with a quad speaker setup. Under the hood, the tablet will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC. The Pad 5 will pack an 8,720mAh battery as well and come in the Black and White colour options.
Mi Pad 5 Price and Availability
According to the price listed by the retailer store’s Instagram page, the Mi Pad 5 price is set at BYN 1199. Now, this converts to roughly Rs. 35,000 in the Indian currency. Moreover, this is the price set for the variant which comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. To recall, the Mi Pad 5 price in China was set at CNY 1,999 which converts to roughly Rs. 22,000. Now, we can expect to know about the Mi Pad 5 India launch date and other details during the upcoming September 15 launch event.
