Realme 6i has a splash-resistant design which looks similar to other Realme phones out there. The power button/fingerprint sensor is located at the right side of the device; while the volume buttons are on the left below the Dual SIM+MicroSD Card Slot. On the bottom of the device, we have a USB Type-C port, a loudspeaker, a microphone and a headphone jack. On the back of the device, we have the quad-camera setup with a dual-tone flashlight.
The Realme 6i is offered in two glossy colours, Lunar White and Eclipse Black.
Realme 6i sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 90.5% of screen to body ratio. This screen to body ratio ensures the presence of minimalistic bezels. The front camera is tucked away inside a hole punch on the upper left corner of the device which is an acceptable placement for the front camera as it doesn’t bother when viewing any type of content on the device.
Realme 6i features the Mediatek Helio G90T which is built on the 12nm process and is an octa-core processor which clocks up to 2.05 GHz. This is combined with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x dual-channel memory and 64GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The storage on this device can be expanded up to 256GB with a microSD card. Realme 6i also features HyperBoost which enhances the gaming experience altogether by improving the frame speed and touch response.
Reame 6i runs on Android 10 which is customized with Realme’s own realme UI 1.0 which is present in most of the Realme smartphones.
This phone is equipped with a quad-camera setup with the main camera being a 48MP Ultra high-resolution wide-angle camera. The other three cameras include an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a black & white portrait lens and a 4cm macro lens. The ultra-wide-angle on this is having an angle of 119-degree.
The front camera is a 16MP in-display camera which is also featuring 120fps Slow-Mo feature in the selfie.
The battery on the Realme 6i has a capacity of 4300mAh with support for 30W flash charge which is claimed to fully charge the device in 55 minutes. But Realme only provides a 20W flash charge capable charger which can fully charge the device in 73 minutes. The battery capacity at full charge should be adequate to last a single day in moderate usage.
Realme 6i offers to be a good value for money device with a 90Hz smooth refresh rate display and a quad-camera setup in the camera department. It is a device which can live up to your expectations provided they are not too much at this price point. In all fairness to Realme, it is high time that they start to distinguish their offerings from one another design-wise so as to create a strong uniqueness for their devices.
