The design language of Realme C21Y is straightforward, as one would expect from a low-cost smartphone. A plastic back houses a square-shaped camera module and fingerprint sensor, as well as a speaker grille at the bottom. The diamond-cut design is the most eye-catching feature on the back.
The front has a standard water-drop display with a broad chin and minimal bezels around the corners. The power button and volume rocker are located on the right side, while the bottom side houses a 3.5mm headphone jack, speaker grille, and a Type-C charging connector. With a thickness of 9.1mm and a weight of 200 grammes, the Realme C21Y may look hefty when held for the first time.
Realme C21Y has a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD with a teardrop-style notch on top. The display has a max brightness of 400 nits. Also, the display features a screen to body ratio of 88.7% and carries a 720p resolution only. There is a normal refresh rate and you can expect an average visual experience.
Realme C21Y is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T610 CPU manufactured on 12-nanometer technology. The CPU is coupled with a Mali G52 GPU. The phone has 3GB or 4GB of RAM, as well as up to 64GB of storage. You may expand storage by inserting a microSD card. The Realme C21Y runs the Realme UI, which is based on Android 10. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a Micro-USB connection, and a 3.5mm headphone connector are all available for connectivity.
Realme C21Y features three cameras on the rear. A 13-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel mono-lens camera are included. Realme is boasting AI-powered camera capabilities for the C21Y. A 5-megapixel front camera with AI Beauty features is housed within the notch.
Realme has a history of packing its smartphones with powerful batteries, and the same has been done here. Yes, the Realme C21Y comes with a big 5000 mAh battery capable of delivering a substantial battery backup for the entire day. Normal charging, on the other hand, maybe difficult because it is difficult to replenish such a large battery in such a short period of time. Here the additional feature is that the Realme C21Y offers a Reverse charging feature and carries a Type-C charging port.
The only two features that are in favour of the Realme C212Y are the 5000 mAh battery and a 13MP triple rear camera. The rest of the features including a mediocre processor, normal charging, 720-pixel display, poor selfie camera make this unfit for purchase given the present competition.
