Prices for Galaxy On Nxt starts at Rs. 15, 900. With a 5.5 inch touchscreen display, 3GB and an octa-core processor, along with a 13 MP camera, the phone remains as overpriced in respect to the features it offers. Most of its features are less than average and it fails to stand out in a competitive market.
The phone comes with a 5.5 inch touchscreen display, fingerprint scanner at the home button, and a full metal unibody, with a dual nano SIM card slot. The phone has a Proximity sensor, accelerometer, as well as a fingerprint sensor. It has a metal look back finish and rounded edges. The shape makes the smartphone fit neatly in one’s palm. The design is not bad, but the screen size is small.
This model has a 5.50 inch touchscreen display which has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It weighs 167 grams and has measurements of 151.70 x 75.00 x 8.00 mm. It has TFT full HD IPS LCD Capacitive touchscreen display with 401 PPI. The body is metallic and is available in two colours, black and gold. The screen is protected by a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. This model has a sleek look to itself. The screen display is one of the poorer features of the phone. Better screen size and display with more than average pixels is available on the market within the same price range.
It has an octa core processor with a Mali T830 GPU. This model has a 3GB RAM and 1.6 GHz CPU speed and Cortex A53 processor. It is available in 32 GB storage while the removable storage can be expanded up to 256 GB using a micro SD card.It does not run on the latest Android operating system and uses Android 6.0 Marshmallow Operating System and can be updated manually to 7.0 Nougat Operating System. The configuration of this Samsung model is less than average and quite outdated in today’s smartphone market. Many user reviews of this model have complained of a slow smartphone which hangs frequently.
The rear camera is of 13 MP with f/1.9 aperture. While the front camera is of 8 MP with f/1.9 aperture. The rear camera has a flash while the front camera does not have the flash feature. The phone has a low camera aperture, but it supports face detection and high dynamic imagine ranging. It has all the basic smartphone camera features like autofocus, touch focus, panorama mode. But the low camera quality and the non existence of front camera flash, brings down the overall camera appeal of this Samsung model. The camera is less than average and further pulls down the phone’s popularity.
This phone has a non-removable 3300 mAh Li-ion battery which can be charged through a micro USB. The battery performance is more than average and is supposed to give a battery life of over 10 hours. The battery life is one of the better features of the phone. However, once the phone starts to hang, users have claimed that the battery drains really fast. Sometimes battery has drained completely in as fast as 3 hours.
It has a good battery life but that’s pretty much where the good features which stand out stops about this phone. Even the battery starts to drain if the phone starts to lag. For the price at which it is offered, the camera is less than average, display screen a little too small, Android version two versions two old and pretty basic configuration. The only reason why the model even has a name is because of the brand name of Samsung. Even for a Samsung fan, the phone does not have any features which stand out. Much better Samsung phones are available for the same price range.
