Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is by far, the largest and highly advanced high-end smartphone from Samsung. The biggest USP of the Galaxy S10 5G is “the 5G” tag. With a massive screen, big battery, and multiple cameras, the Galaxy S10 5G is here to stay.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G price in India is Rs. 89,990 but when will it be available in India is still unknown because 5G connectivity is yet to launch in India. Granted that the Galaxy S10 5G price is on the high-end, but you do get a lot of advanced features and specifications on it. As of now, the Galaxy S10 5G is available in three colour variants – Crown Silver, Majestic Black, and Royal Gold.
The Galaxy S10 5G is a massive phone, owing to its 6.7-inch display. Also, it is slightly on the heavier side. While the front has Gorilla Glass 6 protection, the back features a glossy and polished metal that reflects striking colours. With a bezel-less and notch-less design, and an 89.4% screen-to-body ratio, the Galaxy S10 5G offers an expansive viewing space. There is a dual punch-hole selfie camera in the top right corner of the display. The back panel houses the quad-camera module aligned horizontally on the top.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G features a big 6.7-inch screen – one of the biggest displays in the mainstream smartphone segment. The size isn’t all; it is excellent in quality as well. The phone sports Samsung’s fancy Infinity-O display that completely eliminates the notch with a punch hole. The Super AMOLED display comes with a high resolution of 3040 x 1440 pixels and 500 PPI. The screen is remarkably bright and vibrant with great viewing angles. The colours pop beautifully, especially the darker ones.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G uses the Samsung Exynos 9820 SoC whereas, in the US, the model gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. Coupled with 8GB RAM, the Galaxy S10 5G makes it to the list of the fastest Android phones in the market today. Naturally, performing everyday tasks is hassle-free on the Galaxy S10 5G. Even while there’s a series of ongoing downloads on 5G, you can multitask and navigate between apps with ease. As for gaming, the Galaxy S10 5G performs very well. It can smoothly handle graphics-intensive games like PUBG. Speaking of the 5G performance, the results are good but the network comes with its unique limitations.
The Galaxy S10 5G runs on the latest Samsung One UI which seems to be optimized in the Galaxy S10 5G and is great.
The Galaxy S10 5G is the only S10 phone to sport a quad-cam setting on the rear. There is a 12MP primary shooter, a 16MP 123-degree ultra-wide sensor, a 12MP telephoto lens, and a fourth camera, a 3D depth-sensor, better known as time-of-flight (ToF) camera. The ToF camera comes in handy for face recognition, 3D imaging, VR (virtual reality), and AR (augmented reality). Talking of the photo quality, the Galaxy S10 5G delivers amazing results in favourable lighting conditions. In low-lighting conditions, however, the camera performance suffers slightly, but it isn’t totally disappointing.
Samsung Galaxy S10 5G gets a 4,500mAh battery which is quite fair, given the big QHD+ display, the potent processor, and the 5G connectivity draining the power. For light to medium usage, the phone can usually pull through a day. The good thing is that there’s an Adaptive Power Saving option that optimizes your usage patterns and saves power. Furthermore, the 25W fast charging and 15W wireless charging perform excellently to charge the battery within a short time.
Samsung has done a great job at creating a standalone 5G phone in a market. Sure there are glitches in the 5G tech, but it still remains one of the best performing models currently. The AMOLED screen, competent processor, snappy cameras, and a decent battery make the Galaxy S10 5G a worthy buy.
