The Sennheiser IE 900 comes with a set of silicone and memory foam ear tips, three pairs of each type in different sizes. It has three para-aramid reinforced cables with different gold-plated connectors. The MMCX connector that connects the headphones has a deep seat, which improves the reliability of the connection. The in-ear headphones are designed to be worn around the ears with a wire. Some people may find this type of headphones unusual, as it is a model that comes with ear hooks. 

However, the fit is comfortable and practical, especially for active people or when playing sports. The built-in driver makes them small and lightweight. It has only one  7mm TrueResponse dynamic driver inside, but Sennheiser assures that this is enough. The company focuses on X3R technology, which aims to improve the driver’s capabilities. The impedance is 16 ohms, the sound pressure level is 123 dB, and the frequency response is 5 Hz to 48 kHz.
