We all know that wired earphones’ popularity decreases over time among users, but they remain a lifeline for editors and gamers who need to pick up sound without latency. After a long time, I’ve been using the Headphone Zone x KZ EDX Pro for the last seven days to provide a clear and unbiased review. I am running a few minutes late; my previous meeting is running over.

These earbuds come with two types of connectivity: one is 3.5mm, and the other is Type-C, which I am using. My initial experience is amazing, but let’s break it down carefully in each segment.

    PROS

    • Secure IEM-style fit with over-ear hooks
    • Punchy bass with good sub-bass rumble
    • Clear female vocals and detailed instruments
    • Bright and lively treble
    • Decent soundstage with good imaging
    • Clear mic for calls and gaming
    • Type-C and 3.5mm options available

    CONS

    • Male vocals sound a bit muddy
    • Mid-bass sometimes boomy
    • Treble gets sharp at high volume
    • Picks background noise outdoors
    • Comfort needs a few days to adjust

Headphone Zone x KZ EDX Pro Design and Comfort

Design may catch the eye, but comfort keeps it in your ear, and Headphone Zone x KZ EDX Pro excels in both aspects. Let’s start with its design, which has a slight difference from traditional earphones. This design is called an In-Ear Monitor with an over-ear hook style. I received a Blue earbuds with golden earplugs and a transparent 1.2-meter Type-C cable.

    Type-C

These earbuds are shaped to fit snugly inside my ear canal, providing better noise isolation and a secure placement. The cable loops around the ear, reducing cable tug and ensuring a stable fit, especially useful for long listening sessions, workouts, or stage performances.Headphone Zone x KZ EDX Pro design

This design is often called a “professional IEM style” since it’s widely used by musicians, audio engineers, and audiophiles for both comfort and stability.

If you are tired of earbuds slipping out of your ears while jogging or walking, this could be a good option for you. Regarding comfort, you may feel a little strange at first, but you can get used to it with daily use.

    design

The good thing is that you will not feel any rubbing on your ear. Additionally, its design fits perfectly in your ear. If your ear canal is slightly bigger or smaller, you can swap the ear tip, which is provided in extra in the box.

Headphone Zone x KZ EDX Pro Sound Quality

The Headphone Zone x KZ EDX Pro features 10mm dual-magnet dynamic drivers. Its sound quality is generally excellent.

I used it for various activities like watching movies, listening to music, and even during BGMI gameplay, where low latency is essential. Initially, I struggled to orient myself to enemy directions in BGMI, but after a few gameplay sessions, I became more comfortable instead using cheap wireless earbuds.

Let’s move on to sound technicalities. The sub-bass has more rumble and depth, which makes the sound warm and lively. The mid-bass adds punch, too. Sometimes it gets a little boomy, and male vocals can feel slightly muddy, but female vocals sound smooth and natural. Overall, the detail is still good.

Headphone Zone x KZ EDX Pro sound quality

I also like this earphone, which features detailed instrument sounds like guitars and strings, with each layer and detail clearly presented. Nothing feels missing in the mix. I have been using the Realme Buds T10 since last year and feel they lack the sound quality of the EDX Pro type.

The treble is bright and crisp. At higher volumes, it can get sharp, but not in a way that ruins the experience. In fact, the treble keeps the sound exciting and engaging. The sound quality is decent for the price, not huge, but not closed-in either.

Overall, the Headphone Zone x KZ EDX Pro sound quality review is fun and energetic. For gaming, it works better than I thought. The mids help with positional audio like footsteps, while the bass adds good weight to explosions and effects.

Headphone Zone x KZ EDX Pro Microphone

On the right side of Headphone Zone x KZ EDX Pro, you get an in-line microphone with a single-button remote. The design looks different; there’s a large metal mesh plate on both sides of the mic. I haven’t really seen this in budget IEMs before. I can’t say if it’s just for looks or if it holds a bigger mic capsule, but either way, the performance is better than expected.

    microphone

The microphone quality is clear and natural. It works well for calls, online classes, and casual gaming chats. Indoors, it delivers without any problem. Outdoors, it still performs decent enough. Like other wired earphones, background noise or traffic sounds can creep in since the mic sits a little lower on the cable. But that’s normal in this price segment.

    Verdict

The Headphone Zone x KZ EDX Pro review makes it clear that this IEM is all about fun and engaging sound. You get a punchy bass, clean vocals, lively treble, and a secure fit that feels professional. For gaming, it does surprisingly well with positional cues and low latency, which is not common in budget earphones.

It’s not the most balanced tuning, but if you enjoy energetic sound with extra excitement, this is the right pick. Thanks for reading the Headphone Zone x KZ EDX Pro review and comment your thoughts below.
